was a producer and a distributor company of 16mm and 35mm movies starting from year 1955.

The office of the owner of "KULAB TIP PHAPAYON" has roses on his gate as a reference
to "KULAB" meaning Rose in Thai language.
Kulab Tip company was also doing open-air cinema
(บริการฉายหนังกลางแปลง) since 16mm film era.
During 16mm era, Kulab Tip company had 50 screens as they shown movies all over Thailand.

Kulab Tip had a huge stock of 1000 movies as they shown movies all over Thailand.
Kulab Tip company joined temple fairs featuring outdoor cinema and music concerts.
A big fire occurred end of 1960s causing most of their 16mm movies stock
to be lost. All their 16mm movies were burnt except those which were stored in a local Buddhist temple.
Current Kulab Tip company owner is ลุงเจริญกุหลาบทิพย์ (1945).
His father, named Lek Kulab Tip (นายเล็ก กุหลาบทิพย์),
started the business.
Lek Kulab Tip was a close friend of Thai singer Suraphol Sombatcharoen.
In decade 1960s, it cost 12000 baht to hire Suraphol Sombatcharoen per night.
Movie 16 ปีแห่งความหลัง contained 8 songs composed by
Suraphol Sombatcharoen but only 6 were found.
Country folk singer Suraphol Sombatcharoen was murdered
in 1968. He is still considered as Thailand's all-time king of country music.
Lek Kulab Tip was good friend with Thai singer Suraphol Sombatcharoen
(สุรพล สมบัติเจริญ).
Before it cost 3500 baht to hire a open-air cinema for a night.
Kulab Tip still sold movies used after 6 months for more than 10 000 baht.
Kulab Tip company also produced their own movies such as
มารหัวใจ in 1954,
ลั่นทมสอื้น in 1961,
จ้าวชีวิต in 1962,
ผีท้องกลม in 1968,
อินทรีทอง in 1970,
ลูกสาวนายพล in 1972,
อย่ารักฉัน in 1974
(based on พ่อจ๋า
released in 1957 with รัตนาภรณ์ อินทรกำแหง).
Company Kulab Tip bought movie นกน้อย
around 1M baht to Dokdin Kanyaman. Dokdin Kanyaman's movies made 1M baht in a few big theaters then
they were being sold to companies like Kulab Tip which get the rights to show them.
Company Kulab Tip made only one movie with Mitr Chaibancha. This movie was
Golden Eagle (อินทรีทอง).
Before, it cost around 10 baht for a chair to watch movies in temple
and 5 baht for children.
Kulab Tip company had around 1000 16mm movies! Unfortunately following a fire, all are lost except
one hundred stored in a Buddhist temple.
Once movie production movie was stopped, Kulab Tip company still continued outdoor cinema business
(หนังกลางแปลง).
Most of their produced movies are lost except some extracts of ดอกแก้ว (1962)
and Golden Eagle (1970).
Each time, Kulab Tip company was sending 2 people for a movie projection, i.e.
the projectionist and the dubber.
Many people (dubber, projectionist) worked in Kulab Tip company and then opened their own business.
Due to political issues, producting movies was judged to be no longer safe so Kulab Tip company even stopped
the movie ดวงเดือด.
The outdoor cinema business (บริการฉายหนังกลางแปลง)
remained their sole business but eventually they had to stop due to video tapes
competition.
People would stay home watching movies instead of going out to
see outdoor cinema.
In the past, Thai movies were realized for the whole family as such movies were often shown in theaters
or in countryside. So there were some sequences involving action, song, comedy and on on...
At their popularity peak, all Thai actors, actresses or directors were present
to Kulab Tip company's parties such as Sor Asanajinda.
Lek Kulab Tip and his wife are both sitting. Their five children are standing behind them.
Movies reels have limited lifespan in such leather boxes if ventilation is poor.
Some collectors still keep the movies boxes even if the movies reels are
damaged beyond repair.
