His grandson Kot (ออย ธนา) has to pick up him at Don Muang international airport. Kot misses the train to go with his friends to the countryside, so he stays with his grandfather. Finally Kot has to go to Koh Samui with his grandfather. He tries to leave the island earlier, but bad weather prevents him. He meets young lady Bo (โบว์ ปรารถนา) being hit by her umbrella. Veteran actors comic Tongchai Prasongsanti and Thuam Thoranong are featured in this movie. A young lad, called Not, is also coming to the island in order to meet Bo as he loves her. Bo invites Kot to go scuba diving in order to get rid of Not. Young lad Not wishes to die as he believes Bo has now a boyfriend. Kot is tired with his grandfather as there are only troubles with him. The grandfather finds back an old mansion where he used to love a lady named Muk (รัชนก พูลผลิน). Muk died last year. She kept the handkerchief given by Am with which she wiped blood coming from her finger. Am never dared declaring his love to Muk, so Muk finally married somebody else. Am realised too late that his love was reciprocal. A similar story is now happening between Kot and Bo… Grandfather Am recommends Kot to do things now in order not to regret in the future. Kot is upset with Bo for wrong reasons. It is time for grandfather Am and Kot to leave Koh Samui. Finally Kot stays behind as love is stronger…

Poonsawat Teemakorn and Rong Kaomulkadee succeed to enter the house and steal the diamond. Poonsawat is arrested by two policewomen Yee Mai (Siriam Pakdeedamrongrit) and Patty. He swallows the diamond with the pizza delivered by the Police. He asks to be released as Police cannot find the diamond. Phairoj Jaising, the police head, refuses. The policewomen leave for holidays. Meanwhile two doctors (จีรศักดิ์ แสงโชติ and Ma - บดินทร์ ดุ๊ก) also leave for a break. They all go on a cruise in South of Thailand. They meet on the boat but do not disclose their real names and jobs. Poonsawat discloses he swallowed the diamond and is sent to hospital for X-ray. He meets Rong working there. Rong promises to exchange X-ray with a patient having heart disease in order to have him released promptly. Finally, the two couples sympathize on the boat and when they are about to disclose the truth, a patient recalls the doctor. The doctor finds an excuse. Later, Yee Mai intervenes to stop a robber, so she also finds an excuse. Both couples are back to Bangkok. Holidays are over. The policewomen must go to the hospital, where the two doctors are working, to arrest Poonsawat. Finally, the first couple knows the truth, but Ma and Yee Mai continue to lie to each other. Various funny sequences occur as Ma simulates being a male nurse and Yee Mai simulates being a rich heir, but she has no money. Finally, while facing an accident, Doctor Ma must help and to disclose he is a doctor. Yee Mai does not dare saying she is a policewoman as Doctor Ma is upset with policewomen trying to arrest his patient Poonsawat despite him being sick. The truth is finally disclosed when the policewoman asks to meet the doctor, preventing her from arresting Poonsawat. The two couples chase Rong and Poonsawat escaping the hospital. Rong and Poonsawat are captured. Ma forgives and accepts that Yee Mai is a policewoman. Romance can blossom.

Thai romantic comedy movie ไอ้หนุ่มรถไถ was released in year 1982 and lasts 1h35mn. Movie director is ม.จ.ทิพยฉัตร ฉัตรชัย. The movie was remastered in the 2010s. It was shown on cable TV Thai PBS. There is a tractor race. Other drivers (including Der Doksadao) don’t want Dok Rak (Sorapong Chatree) to win again, so they join their efforts to beat him, but they fail. Poonsawat Teemakorn introduces Uncle Tao (Sor Asanajinda) to Dok Rak. Dok Rak will have to claim to be a policeman to stop traffickers carrying illegal goods to avoid taxes. The event doesn’t end up as expected as ruffians fight back and Dok Rak is injured during shootings. The ruffians even recognize Dok Rak. Uncle Tao brings back Dok Rak to his home. They are welcome by Nam Pheung (น้ำผึ้ง)(Naowarat Yooktanun), being Tao’s granddaughter, and having a very strong character. Tao has two granddaughters, Nam Pheung and Nam Fon. Nam Pheung helps to heal Dok Rak and to remove the bullet (ถูกยิง). Seui (Somkuan Krajangsat), the district big brother (เฮีย), is informed that Dok Rak has stolen a lorry full of illegal goods. Seui orders Dok Rak to be killed. Ruffians are looking for him. Tao is now upset with Dok Rak and is worried he will seduce his granddaughters. Ruffians finally localize Dok Rak and attack him with multiple tractors. Tao and his granddaughters join the force and succeed to repel the ruffians. Uncle Tao tries to convince Dok Rak to hide near the border to escape the ruffians, but he is in fact trying to chase Dok Rak out of his home as he is concerned for Nam Pheung. They learn that heroin traffic is going to happen. Uncle Tao has the idea to steal the drugs to make profit. Dok Rak agrees for 50-50% share in order to help. It makes Nam Pheung upset as it is dirty money. Dok Rak arrives before the ruffians and uses the correct password with the traffickers, so he can get the goods easily. He is again identified by the ruffians. Dok Rak burns the drug as it is harmful for Thai people. It makes Nam Pheung happy that Dok Rak is a good man, but it makes uncle Tao upset! Ruffians locate Dok Rak and storm uncle Tao’s domain. Shooting happens. Nam Fon is shot and Nam Pheung is captured. Back home, uncle Tao and Dok Rak find the dead bodies and promise revenge. Dok Rak and uncle Tao propose to exchange the drugs with Nam Pheung. Dok Rak hides a bomb inside the house. Seui tries to trick uncle Tao. Shootings happen and uncle Tao is shot. Dok Rak flees with Nam Pheung, while Seui’s house explodes with all ruffians inside. Uncle Tao is finally still alive! He wishes to join Dok Rak and Nam Pheung’s wedding.

Thai movie โทน / Tone is the first movie done by Piak Poster. It was released under VCD format by company XxX (Triple X). It features many Thai modern 1970s songs from ‘The Impossible’ group (วงดิอิมพอสซิเบิ้ล), some classical and traditional Thai songs, and even some American songs including ‘Scarborough Fair’ in Thai. The main characters are living in a provincial village, i.e. Pon (Chaiya Suriyun), Sang Thong (Songthong) and Nong Kulap (Jaruwan Panyopas). Sang is Pon's best friend following up everywhere. Pon loves Nong Kulap sincerely but Kulap sees him as a close friend only. She also needs to go to Bangkok to continue her studies, so they will be separated (ห่างกัน). Pon didn't do high studies and is living in a Buddhist temple with Luang Ta as a monk's attendant (ลูกศิษย์วัด). He was an orphan (เด็กกำพร้า). Ot (Sayan Chantaraviboon) is a Bangkokian young man visiting some relatives in the village. While having a drink, some ruffians (นักเลง) led by Amnat provoke him and a fight erupts. Pon is involved as he was just passing by and finally, he is helping Ot to get rid of the ruffians. The abbot wishes Pon to continue his studies in Bangkok. Ot proposes to help and Pon is now relocated in Bangkok. He meets Rut, Ot’s elder brother (Ruj Ronnapop) and Daeng (Aranya Namwong), Ot's modern young sister. Daeng hates (เกลียด) Pon immediately. It seems Kulap has forgotten Pon. Sang is having quarrels with ruffians, who shot him. Ot meets Kulap randomly in Bangkok. Ot loves Kulap but Pon is not aware that Kulap is now in Bangkok. Daeng's boyfriend Long (Sahat Piempongsan) is a ruffian trying to take advantage of her. Hopefully Pon sees the stratagem and helps her. He gets injured. Daeng starts to see Pon's kindness and now loves secretly Pon. It is Ot's birthday (วันเกิด). Kulap (แฟน) comes to his birthday. It is the first Thai movie showing the 1970 youth with modern Thai and English music, dances and mini dresses. Daeng understands that Pon still loves Kulap and suffers. After a discussion between Pon and Ot, Ot accepts it (ทำใจ) and takes care about Daeng. Love story starts. Long is still cross with Daeng and Pon. He kidnaps Daeng and Kulap. Pon, trying to help, is also captured. Ot is chasing them. Long wishes to sell the two ladies to his friend Amnat. They will work as forced prostitutes. Daeng and Pon fail to escape and Long rapes Daeng. Thanks to Ot, Long is neutralized and is shot by Daeng. Pon shots Amnat so avenging his friend Sang Thong. It is time to forget the bad past and look forward to the bright future. Piak Poster began as a painter of movie posters. He painted ‘Tone’ movie poster. Tone was Piak Poster’s first movie as director. The movie features seven songs. Songthong became famous thanks to the songs he performed in ‘Tone’ movie. It was the first movie in which the leading actress is raped. Thanks to the modern songs, ‘Tone’ movie reaped 6M Baht. It was the second biggest success in year 1970 after ‘Mon Rak Luuk Thung’ with Mitr / Petchara. It was also one of the first movie to use 35mm film instead of 16mm. ‘Tone’ movie was adapted two times for TV as a lakorn, i.e. in 1992 with Santisuk Promsiri and more recently in 2000s decade with Vinai Kraibutr and Metinee Kingpayome. Tone was the first movie in Thailand to break the monopoly of Mitr-Petchara movies. This movie is part of the first 25 films heritage list announced on October 4 2011, which is Thai Movies Conservation Day. The swimming suit worn by Aranya Namwong became a hit also as it shown the belly. All young ladies in year 1970 bought it. A promotional movie, lasting 17 minutes, shot in black and white, in 16mm format, can be seen online and is showing behind the screen sequences. The movie shooting was done over two years as Piak Poster liked perfection, details and used a lot of film. The film was developed in Japan and 11 copies travelled all over Thailand. It was two times more than usual.

Movie Operation Bangkok / เพชรตัดเพชร was released in year 1966 and lasts 1h50mn. It is a HK Thai co production managed by three film directors including Wichit Khunawut. Mitr Chaibancha meets Yot (Luechai Natnat). An exchange of suitcases happens over a bridge. Adinan Singhiran is Yot’s acolyte. Yot betrays Mitr and tries to keep the two suitcases. Shooting happens and Yot flees. Choomporn Theppitak is part of a gang led by Kecha Plianvithee. Yot belongs to the same gang also. Luechai arrives in Hong Kong. He meets Adul Dulyarat on a boat to exchange drugs against money. The drug is fake and he steals the money by punching Adul. He flees to Bangkok and escapes to Choomporn, who tries to shoot him with a long range rifle. Yot has betrayed (ทรยศ) Kecha. Yot meets singer Pai Lu (Hong Kong actress Regina Pai Ping) in the plane and sympathizes. Mitr disguises himself as Chat, a tough ruffian, to infiltrate Kecha’s gang. Chadaporn Wachirapranee is Chat’s old wife so he punches Sompol Kongsuwan to show he is back. Chao Klaewklong introduces Chat to Kecha. Kecha is looking for a new right-hand man (แขนขวาคนใหม่) as Yot betrayed him. Kecha wishes Chat to get rid of Yot. Ratsamee (Petchara Chaowarat) loves Yot but Yot also loves Pai Lu, who is in fact an undercover policewoman from Hong Kong. Ratsamee warns Yot that Adul is around looking for him. Pai Lu and Ratsamee escape from Adul but get arrested by policeman Lor Tok, who ignore they are from Interpol Police (ตำรวจสากล). A painting called เพชรตัดเพชร is purchased by Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit bidding against Kecha. Miss Boran (Kaenjai Meenakanit) is the sexy painter. Adul wishes to buy the jewel hidden in the painting but this one is now always worn by Miss Boran. The jewel contains a password (รหัด). Choomporn kills Miss Boran to get the jewel but Yot and his team steal it from him also. Pai Lu is surnamed HK 16. Mitr is surnamed BKK 38 (ตำรวจไทยเจ้าชู้อย่างนี้ทุกคนหรือค่ะ?). Mitr helps Pai Lu chased by two ruffians including Choomporn. Chat brings Pai Lu himself to Kecha. Understanding that she is an enemy (ศัตรู), she is condemned to be shot by Choomporn but Chat succeeds to charge the gun with blank bullets. Yot falls in a trap prepared by Adul to steal the diamond but it fails and Adul dies. Yot wishes to make peace with Kecha. Kecha wants only one right-arm man so both Chat and Yot have to fight against each other. Pai Lu and Petchara ask them to stop fighting. They are all captured by Kecha. Part of the movie is then lost here. Wilaiwan shots Ratsamee. Hopefully Pai Lu shots Wilaiwan and can help Ratsamee on time. Thai police attack the ruffians. All are killed or captured but Kecha succeeds to flee. Kecha refuses to surrender to the Thai police and prefers to explode his boat. The movie ends up on a sad note as Pai Lu has to leave Chat to go back back to Hong Kong, Ratsamee is separated from Yot as he has to go to jail. This movie is still available in Hong Kong under title 諜海蛟龍 and was shown on cable TV. The famous song of this movie is ดวงใจ by singer สวลี ผกาพันธุ์. This movie is one of the best confrontations between Thai superstars Mitr Chaibancha and Luechai Natnat. As it is a HK Thai co production, it is interesting to find that the Chinese version poster features Chinese actress Regina Pai Ping’s head in big size. Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat are displayed in small size. But the Thai poster displays more prominently Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat. In the Chinese synopsis, Mitr Chaibancha is written as mi-tsai- wan-chai (Thai detective No 78) and called as Ah Tsai in the movie. Regina Pai Ping (Hong Kong agent No 113) is called as Pai Lu in the movie. Petchara Chaowarat is written as Pi-chai-la and called as Sha Mei in the movie. The movie was so famous that it was released once in year 1966 and then reshown again in year 1975. The original version lasts 2h20mn but the 1975 version was reduced to less than 2 hours as both movies เพชรตัดเพชร and คนเหนือคน were shown together. The DVD released by company Pantamit is based on the 1975 version. It took five years for company Pantamit to convince the film owner to lend it in order to make a digital copy. Another film copy remains in the Thai Film archives.

Thai movie ดรรชนีนาง was released in year 1961. It features Pissamai Wilaisak as main actress and Saen Surasak (แสน สุรศักดิ์) as main actor. This 16mm film is lost in Thailand but around 1h10mn is still left. The original movie features 7 songs. Two militaries, including an officer called Niran (Saen Surasak) and a veteran comic actor (พูนสวัสดิ์ ธีมากร), spy Danchanee (Pissamai Wilaisak) through binoculars. Pissamai has a gorilla protecting her and able to speak also. Pissamai is crying on the grave of her mother Danchanee Chai Lai and gets comfort from her father. Her mother died just after giving birth to Danchanee. The father warns Danchanee to beware of the soldiers. The father wants to avoid disappointment for Danchanee regarding flirting with a city dweller (หนุ่มกรุงเทพ). He welcomes the soldiers with a gun and forbids them to meet Danchanee. Following a letter given by the monkey, Danchanee meets the officer Niran at night time without waking up her father. She also meets him while her father is away catching fishes. The father is back before and see a scene between both of them (ชีวิตรัก / ลูกเสีย). Niran has to leave but promises to take care of Danchanee. Danchanee is punished (ถูกทำโทษ) by her father. Time passes. Danchanee's father brings her to Bangkok where they meet Op (อบ บุญติด), Niran's father. Danchanee is pregnant. Danchanee and her father find Niran kissing his fiancee in the swimming pool. Niran gives her money but Danchanee throws it back to him. The father gets angry and even he gets faint. They all go back to Songkhla. One day, Niran and his new wife Gnamta (งามตา ศุภพงษ์) find a bad odour in their house. Danchanee cut her small finger and sent it as wedding gift with a letter. Later Niran understands his mistake. Gnamta lets him go and Niran rushes looking for Danchanee. Her father is dead following grief. Danchanee welcomes Niran with a gun and injures him in the arm. He finally asks for forgiveness and receives it.

Four friends are living together, 3 men and one woman, Pen (เพ็ญ). They rent an old boat from Pen’s father and repair into a boat house to live on it (เรือนแพ). Kaew (แก้ว) wishes to become a Thai boxing champion (นักมวย). Lin (รินทร์) wishes to become singer and songs compositor. Chen (เจน) wishes to finish first grade his studies and become a policeman. Pen is the lady. All three friends secretly love Pen. Many songs are featured in the movie. Kaew wishes to participate to real Thai boxing competition instead of only doing trainings. He is very hot temper. A local ruffian head, Ekarat, finds a fight for him and he wins. A song master hears Lin's beautiful voice and wishes to recruit him. A thunderstorm wrecks their home and they nearly escape to death. Kaew saves Pen from drowning so winning her heart and love (หนูเป็นของเขาแล้ว). Kaew wants to win big money to take care about Pen but he needs to do illegal things such as losing a match. He refuses to do so causing Ekarat's ire. He meets another Lopburi influant man. He gives 40 000 baht for his wedding with Pen. On the way to Chiang Mai for the wedding, Kaew discovers that Pen's father is preparing the wedding with somebody else! Upset he disturbs the ceremony and shots the groom. He has to flee and becomes an outlaw (ผู้ร้าย). The four friends have gone different paths (ตามดวง). Kaew gets friend with another ruffian. They rob banks and barges together. Chen, who is now a policeman, needs to catch Kaew as it is his duty. He tries to convince him to surrender but no to avail as Kaew is afraid to go twenty years in jail. Kaew and Pen still meet together. Pen wishes Kaew to stop robbing (หยุดปล้น). Even if Kaew wishes to stop, his ruffians friends discourage him saying no woman will wait for him so long in jail. On top of this they are still chased by the police so no time to rest and think. During a singing performance, Lin is shot and killed by one of the ruffians. Kaew cannot help on time. Chen believes Kaew is the one who shot Lin. They all meet on their format boat house. Kaew accepts to surrender but other ruffians shot him and Chen. The movie ends tragically, Kaew dying while sending the boat on the ruffian to smash him. Only Pen survives. The friendly happiness is no more. เรือนแพ is the first officially restored Thai movie by USA in years 2006-2007. It is a 50 years old movie and the VCD from “Phanmitr" (พันธมิตร) collection company includes a copy in very good condition. It was the first Thai movie in 35mm with songs and not dubbing like 16mm movies. Even the Thai King went to watch the movie in 1961! Chaiya Suriyun was the first star to win three consecutive Thai oscars (รางวัลตุ๊กตาทอง) in years 1962-1964. His first Thai oscar was thanks to this movie “เรือนแพ”. The movie got 3 oscars (best actor, best supporting actor, best movie). It was adapted many times as Thai TV series and another time for cinema in 1989 with Santisuk Promsiri.
