Thai movie เสือภูพาน was already released in year 1983 with another poster. This version was targeted for Thai provinces. Some investment was done with a new poster. Actors and movie director are updated (หนังรวมมิตรย้อมแมว). Similar to practices done by Lepso company, poster is changed and movie is maybe changed. It could be real movie เสือภูพาน or another one... It is a bit similar to Thai movie แผ่นดินเหล็ก, which was released again later under the name เสียงเพลงนักเลงโหด.

Chom Phae 2 (ชุมแพ ภาค 2) movie starts by a 5mn section of Chom Phae 1 with actors Sombat Methanee, Dam Datsakorn and actress Piyamas Monayakol. Chatom, the ruffians leader, is captured by the police. Duangjai and Duangpol are his daughters. Police Officer Chayo, promised to Duangpol, refuses to release Chatom. Duangjai hires Chat, a famous thief, in order to help liberate her father. The plan is audacious but successful. Chatom needs now to buy weapons for 20M baht to ruffian leader พ่อ Saen. Weapons are finally stolen (โปลน) and not paid. Saen is upset by Chatom's outrageous beahavior and his daughter Surin tries to calm him down. Both Surin and Duangjai want their fathers to stop being ruffians leaders but they just cannot stop. Chatom's ruffians try to kill Saen but a mysterious masked fighter (Surin!) helps him. Every time Chatom tries to sell the weapons, police is aware. Chatom suspects Chat to inform Chayo. Chatom resurrects Seua Sing (from Chom Phae part 1) as his twin brother to try to kill Police Officer Chayo. Chatom's ruffians try to sell weapons to neighbouring guerrilla (คนเลวชาติ) in the jungle but Saen's team led by Surin fights back. Chatom ruffians kidnap Surin to know who is the spy inside their team. Hopefully Yot helps to release Surin. Chat is finally captured but released by Surin. He joins Saen's team. To get rid of him, Chatom wishes to recruit Hamuyan, a strong hill tribe fighter. Hamuyan is coming from a hill tribe (พี่น้องแมว) and is expert in fighting skills. Hamuyan is recruited by Chatom to kill Chat. Hamuyan accepts as Chat is supposed to be a bad guy and Hamuyan needs money. Police officer Chayo intervenes before they can kill each other. Surin (Apiwadee) is doing well in fighting skills also. Following the failure, Chatom orders to kill Hamuyan but his sbires fail to execute properly. Later on Hamuyan helps Chat and Surin in difficulty against some ruffians. Chat and Hamuyan decide to go back to the mountain to prevent retaliation from Chatom on the hill tribe. Hamuyan's sister Nai Ying prevents a bomb to explose when Chat's car with Hamuyan passes by but she gets shot. Chatom and his ruffians attack the hill tribe village but are welcome by an explosive reception from Chat, Hamuyan and the hill tribe fighters. Police led by Chayo arrives on time. Even Surin joins the shootings. Finally Chatom and Saen kill each other. Chat was finally an undercover policeman. It is a typical 1980s Thai action movie featuring multiple fights, shootings, undercover policeman. Chomphae 1 was released in 1976. The real part 2 is supposed to be movie “ทุ่งลุยลาย” with Sombat Methanee released in 1978. This Chom Phae 2 doesn’t feature the main leading actor, i.e. Sombat Methanee and tries to bank on the box office success of part 1.

Thai movie ไอ้โหด 357 was released in year 1984 and only lasts 1h13mn. It was released under VHS format. Probably some parts of the movie were lost when the movie was transferred to VHS format. As some parts of the movie are missing the storytelling is sometimes awkward. Movie director is ถาวร พริ้งสกุล. Doo (Doo Dook Kradon) is captured by a group of men and is forced for a wedding. The daughter's father, Boo Wibunnan, is the owner of a big hotel in Bangkok and wishes Doo to move to Bangkok to help take care of the hotel. The wedding is a failure. Cheut (Kowit Wattanakul) works with his father in the car repair business. The elder brother is absent. Ruffians including เมือง อพอลโล่ kill the father and mother but Cheut succeeds to flee. Bancha (Kecha Plianvithee) is the mastermind as he wants the land (ที่ดิน). Cheut's girlfriend (ทิพย์มณี ญาณี), teacher Manee, informs him. Ruffians ask him to leave the city but he refuses. Cheut's brother is Chat (Chaiya Suriyun), a small policeman. Ruffians try to kill the two brothers but fail. Linda, ผู้ช่วย (Apiradee Pawaputanon), is nominated to help Chat. Linda arrives by boat driven by Chot (Toon Hiransap). As the two brothers are surrounded by ruffians (หมาหมู), they get support from policeman Krung Srivilai. The two brothers promise to get revenge for their parents. Linda, the subdistrict officer’s daughter, asks villagers not to be afraid of ruffians as Thai police are on their side. Bancha warns the sub district officer, his daughter Linda, Chot and Doo not to interfere in their business. Chot is not willing to help so he gets scolded by Chat and Cheut. Linda and Manee are kidnapped by ruffians. Cheut and Chat succeed to release Linda. Policeman Krung tries to arrest ruffians. As some ruffians are found dead, he suspects Cheut. The sub district officer is killed. Krung, Chot and Linda try to embuscade Bancha to arrest him but it fails. Somebody is shooting the ruffians with a magnum 357 but nobody knows who the shooter is. Deputy Panom is involved. Bancha is his younger brother so he protects him. Finally ruffians are neutralized and Bancha is shot dead.

Fighting is happening in a village. All villagers are killed by mercenaries led by Rith (Rith Luecha). Fighters, riding horses and wearing black clothes, led by Maneerak (Jarunee Sooksawad) are chasing them away. Maneerak has a mixed of Ninja and cowboy skills. Two groups are fighting for this area control as it contains precious gems. One group includes Maekin (Krung Srivilai), Kecha (Kecha Plianvithee), Maneewong (Nipaporn Nongnuch) and Maneerak. The opposite group includes Rith, Lak (Lak Apichat) and Runfa (Linda Khatancharoen). Maneerak, Maneewong and Runfa are three sisters. Their father died before. Rith's ruffians are looking over workers digging for gems. Yutta (Sorapong Chatree) finds a big black emerald (มรกตดำ) and flees away but is chased by the guards. The black stone (ก้อนหิน) is a sacred item. It helps to get rid of the guards and a blind monk appears to Yutta to encourage him to take good care of the stone. A mysterious man called Chaiya (Chaiya Suriyun) keeps surveying the two groups. Yutta is involved despite him in the fightings between the two groups as he helped Maneewong and then sold some gems. Yutta loves Runfa but she cannot be trusted as she steals the black stone while he is sleeping. This time, Yutta helps Maneerak, younger sister of Maneewong. The black stone belongs to Tibet and Runfa tries to sell it. Maneerak is able to get the black stone as Rufa's domestic helper stole it. Maneewong wishes to get the full heritage of her father. Maneerak visits her mum (Ratanaporn Intarakamhaeng) in a Buddhist retreat on a hill. Yutta follows her but Maneewong and her lover Maekin are just behind. Duel happens between Yutta and Maekin. Everybody is now looking for the black stone. Maekin kills Rith during the fighting between the two groups. Yutta gets rid of Lak. Finally both Yutta and Maekin are discovered to be undercover police officers (ผู้กอง). Chaiya(Chaiya Suriyun) is an undercover military officer. Chaiya and the mother make everybody realize greed. Understanding is back in the family and Yutta will bring back the black stone to Tibet with Maneerak. This 1h37mn movie is part of Thai Tom Yam western style. The Thai movie poster mentioned that nine Thai stars, having received Thai cinema awards before, are featured in this movie.

Thai movie จ้าวภูผา was released in year 1983 and lasts 2h04mn. It was released under VHS format only. Phanum (Sorapong Chatree) is getting trained by teacher (อาจารย์) Pipop Pupinyo in a training camp located on a mountain. Phanum has stayed in the training camp for two years but he cannot remember who he is. A man called Chan, who brought him there, has disappeared already. He decides to leave the camp to enquiry on his past. He is now skilled enough in martial arts (ใช้ได้). He meets young lady Feui (สาวิตรี สามิภักดิ์) aggressed by three ruffians. Feui's brother is Lak Apichat. Fortune teller (หมอดู เทวดา) Feng (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) is also looking for Chan. Young lady Yeewa (ฤทัยรัตน์ อมตะวณิชย์), daughter of village headman Kwat (เจ้าพ่อใหญ่). Feui's Father is Somkuan Krajangsat. It seems that Chan has ennemies looking for him. Chan is currently working for village headman Kwat (Manop Aussawathep). Sarinthip Siriwan is playing Kwat's wife. Chat Mongkolchai is village headman's assistant. Today is Kwat's birthday celebration. Somebody offers an ominous gift (ของขวัญวันตาย), i.e. a coffin (โลงศพ). A hitman, offering a gift, shots Kwat three times. Phanum and Feng are arrested as suspected to be involved as they were not invited to the party. Lit (Rith Luecha) sent the killer in order to be the new village headman (กำนัน). Kwat survives as he was wearing a bullet jacket. Feng has to demonstrate his divine skills to show they are not involved in the murder tentative. The birthday celebration continues but during the evening Lit's ruffians bring the mess. Fighting (การต่อสู้) between Pao Porapak and Panum happens. Nakorn (Kecha Plianvithee) learns about Panum and send two hitmen to get rid of him and Chan. Chan is played by Nard Poowanai. Nakorn's ruffians are killed by Chan. Chan has to flee again. Two ruffians sent by Lit fail to shoot Panum. Panum is divided between Yeewa and Feui. Chan helps Panum and Feng attacked by ruffians while sending money to a wood sawmill. A master (อาจารย์) helps Panum to remember his real name as Ek. Nakorn is Ek's uncle. Ek was back from studying abroad. His father was killed (ถูกฆ่าตาย) and Ek lost memory while being injured. Thanks to master (อาจารย์), Ek recovers memory. Through the final, they storm the ruffians' place and all of them are shot. Unable to choose between Yeewa and Feui, Ek marries both of them!

ดาวพระเสาร์ (The Big Deal) movie is gathering three main stars from 1980s decade, i.e. Sorapong Chatree, Toon Hiransap and Jarunee Sooksawad. This movie is mixing action and romance. An impressive bunch of 1970s-1980s famous Thai actors are participating. Dam Datsakorn, more known for his ruffian leader role, is also the director. Dao Prasao (Sorapong Chatree) is similar to a lonesome cowboy but he has a strong kick (ตีนแรง) whenever somebody is looking for troubles. Taen (Toon Hiransap) wishes to befriend with Dao Prasao. Taen is chased by Sing Manorom's ruffians but gets help from Dao Prasao. Taen gives him a bag with 100 000 baht as a reward. Taeng, Taen's fiancee, is promised to ruffian Sing Manorom so Taen has no wish to live anymore. The 100 000 baht were supposed to be used while fleeing with Taeng. Diaw Dai (Wiyada Umarin), prostitute with sincere heart, helps them to hide from the ruffians. Tuang (Rith Luecha) is her evil pimp and wishes to take revenge following Diaw Dai betrayal. Dao Prasao promises to help Taen. Taeng (Jarunee Sooksawad) is the daughter of sub- district headman (kamnan) called Yot. Dao Prasao arrives as a mysterious wedding gift giver in order to enter more easily in Yot’s house. Causing a fire during the wedding eve, Dao Prasao takes profit of the mess to flee with Taeng. He is injured while helping her. Despite a plot from Tuang, all succeed to escape the ruffians. Diaw Dai has some feelings for Dao Prasao. Some feelings start also between Taeng and Dao Prasao. His real name is Kata. He left his home as his fiancee married his father while he was studying abroad. Meanwhile while visiting Taen's home, Taeng discovers he has already a fiancee! In fact his father wants to force him to marry a high society lady called Kaew (Thitima Sangkapitak). Feeling sad, Taeng is finally captured again by the ruffians. Aware of this, Dao Prasao with close friend Dang's support raid the ruffians nightclub. Jarunee excels in Thai boxing skill-set and they succeed to escape. Taeng is disappointed by Taen as he doesn't dare to oppose his father to protect their love (อยู่ในอำนาจบารมีของพ่อ). He is not as courageous as Dao Prasao. Taen feels hurt by Taeng’s words. Chumporn, head of ruffians, is leading a prostitution ring. They capture many ladies including Taeng, Kaew, Diaw Dai to sell them to an international buyer. Tuang kills Diaw Dai as a revenge. Dao Prasao and Taen successfully release the ladies through fierce fights on moving trucks and through motorized acrobatics. Taen wishes to show he has courage also. Kaew is killed during the battle. Taen and Taeng are reunited. Dao Prasao leaves them and continues his life as a lonesome cowboy. Dao Prasao has accomplishes his mission as Taen and Taeng can be happy together now. An earlier version with Sombat Methanee was shot in 1970.

Khongra (Sorapong Chatree) is relative (หลาน) of Am Su Ra Krai (Toon Hiransap). Khongra is coming to Phailom district to visit Am. Am's team, such as Wo (Lak Apichat), needs to carry guns as the area is full of ruffians (นักเลงบ้านนอก) such as Thaem (Porjed Kaenpetch). Mr Putr is accused to have stolen (ปล้นรถไถ) Am's tractor. Local ruffians forbid farmers to cultivate the fields but as Khongra dares to bring a tractor, he has no choice but to shoot them. Later on, he helps a young lady Chairon harassed by three ruffians. Chairon is living alone as her parents died already. Thaem is defeated by Khongra on one to one fight. Friendship starts between Thaem and Khongra. Godfather (เจ้าพ่อ) Bamjong (Kecha Plianvithee) wishes to recruit Khongra as he likes his style. Khongra discovers that the tractor was stolen by Mr Putr despite his disclaimer. Romance starts between Khongra and Chairon. All the illegal activities are handled by a local few godfathers including lady Sa (Aranya Namwong), Bamjong, Dam (Dam Datsakorn) and Reut (Rith Luecha). Chairon has been kidnapped and Khongra is ordered to leave the area within 24 hours. Meanwhile Khongra (เสียตัว) is also kidnapped by mysterious Amazons (Sopha played by Wiyada Umarin and Thitima Sangkapitak) but succeeds to escape. Gnoh (Kowit Wattanakul) is a policeman coming to arrest drug traffickers believed to be linked to local ruffians. Am, Khongra storm Putr's home to know where Chairon is. Before dying, Putr just says she is located at Beung Mai. While going to Beung Mai, they meet Sopha again. It is a trick to split Am, Wo and Khongra. In a fierce shooting, Wo is killed. Sa is suspected to have kidnapped Am. Khongra and Thaem are captured and imprisoned with Am. Chairon provides a hidden message but her behavior is noticed by the guard (ทรยศ). Chairon and Sopha are sentenced to death by Sa. Hopefully Khongra, who succeeds to escape, helps them on time. A festival for farmers is happening in Phailom district. Khongra is aware of the ruffians’ plan to intimidate farmers in order to finally possess the whole land in the area. Explosions happen during the festivities. Following various shootings and car chasing, all ruffians are killed or captured by Khongra, Am and police led by Gnoh. This Thai movie จ้าวนรก, directed by Payoong Payakul, is a typical 1980s action movie involving many key leading actors from decades 1970s-1980s.

Thai movie เพชรตัดหยก was released in year 1982 and lasts 1h54mn. It is a VHS featuring the movie in format 4:3 instead of 16:9 so left and right parts of the original image are lost. Kom Akadej is the movie director. The main character, Lao Thong, has special skills such as running very fast or jumping very high. This movie is considered as part 2 of Thai movie เสือภูเขา / The mountain lion (1979). Lao Thong (Sorapong Chatree) is a Meo hill tribe villager. Lao Thong's wife (Suriwan Suriyong) and his son are killed by ruffians led by Dam Datsakorn storming a Meo hill tribe village to steal the cattle. Lao Thong has to get revenge. Tong Chi (Lak Apichat) joins him. Lisu village leader wishes to marry his two daughters including Asuma (Nanthida Kaewbuasai). Per local customs, the husband (พิธีเลือกคู่) needs to win a fight between all contenders. Tong Chi is about to win but ruffians including Pao Porapak and Chat Mongkolchai storm the Lisu village and kidnap Asuma. Lao Thong helps and releases Asuma. He refuses her hand as he is under mourning period but promises to help getting guns to be able to fight against ruffians. In another village, Lao Thong helps a lady aggressed by thugs. She has same face as his former wife. Her name is Soyi and she has good fighting skills also. She is carried by Pipop Pupinyo and Somsak Chaisongkram. Lao Thong buys guns from her brother Lao (Phairoj Jaising), who tries to get rid of him and Lak. Soyi helps Lao Thong to flee so causing her brother's ire. A mysterious soldier (Hong Kong actor ฉีเส้าเฉียน / Norman Chu), called Norman, helps Asuma and her sister aggressed by ruffians. Tong Chi fights against Norman as he believes he tries to seduce Asuma. Lao Thong and Norman also fight. Norman asks to meet Lao to buy weapons. Norman kidnaps Soyi as he wishes to infiltrate the ruffians. Lao tries to release his sister but he is defeated by Norman. Lao Thong releases Soyi and takes away the weapons with Tong Chi. Lao Thong defeats Norman but spares his life. Tong Chi hides weapons inside Lisu village. The village is stormed by ruffians. All gather to storm the ruffians' place. The big leader is identified as Decha (Kecha Plianvithee). Fightings and explosions occur with all ruffians being killed but unfortunately Lao and Tong Chi also die.

Boss (เจ้านาย) Bancha (Kecha Plianvithee) is trafficking weapons. Pipop Pupinyo is part of his team. A mysterious masked vigilante man, wearing black clothes, is trying to stop him. It is Nam (Sombat Methanee). A truck carrying weapons is stopped by Thai Police thanks to Nam. Nam warns Bancha but a fighting erupts with his tough guys. Nam gets help from a mysterious masked vigilante woman, wearing red clothes. Nam meets Nissa (Wassana Sitthiweth), daughter of the police head. Yot (Lak Apichat) helps Pat (Piathip Kumwong) kidnapped by ruffians. Ruffians kidnap Sia / เสี่ย Boo Wibunnan’s child and shoot him in the shoulder. Hopefully red and black masked vigilantes follow the car but get attacked by yellow masked men (องค์การสีเลือง). Two ladies Pat and Nissa (นกสองตัว) are captured by Bancha's team, who are preparing to betray Thailand. Yodchai Meksuwan and Darlin (Duangcheewan Komolsen), from Malaysia, are police members. Bancha threatens the police head to kill his daughter Nissa if their business is disrupted again. Nam simulates joining the yellow gang in order to be able to release the ladies. Nam cannot reach agreement so a one to one (ต่อสู้แบบลูกผู้ชาย) fight must happen. Police finally arrives. Pat sacrifices her life to save Nam. Lak helps to release Darlin, who is identified to be the mysterious red masked vigilante woman. All ruffians are captured or killed. The identity of the gang leader (ลืมชาติ) is then known... Other actors are เศกสิทธิ์, Suphanee Jitthieng,โดม สิงโมฬี, Krong Kangkengdaeng.

Palan Phuthai is coming back to Chayaphum area after having spent a few years in prison as a former hit man. During the bus trip, he becomes friend with the bus fare collector, who promises to present him his sister called Taew. Back in Chayaphum, things have changed. Following a dispute with a dishonest placement company sending Thai workers abroad, his mother and brother died. He has to take care of a small baby that he confides to the district officer's wife. The district officer knows that Palan has become a good person. Palan has arguments with the dishonest placement company as they take money from poor people and never send them abroad for work. The boss of the placement company is a local godfather called Kamthorn, who is also involved in illegal logging. Palan robs important documents from the placement company and even abducts Kamthorn's daughter, Busaba, to force him to stop his illegal activities. It fails as Palan has to exchange the small baby against Busaba. Taew become Palan's wife. Kamthorn tries to get rid of Palan and the district officer by using a hit man, former friend of Palan. Finally Kamthorn dies and Palan gives his gun back to the district officer as justice has won.

They succeed to release Suda. During the escape, they also take a case belonging to Decha. Ruffians want to get back the suitcase (กระเปาะขอคืน) as it contains important documents related to their business. The three ladies bring the three friends around Bangkok (Happy Land attraction park, Pattaya). They also discover hotels and massage (นวด). As a fighting erupts in the massage parlour, Khun Prangsee (Duangcheewan Komolsen) brings them to her home. They finally befriend with her husband played by Lor Tok (คุณผู้ชายมาแล้ว). After multiple failed trials, Decha finally gets back his suitcase but also kidnaps again Suda and her sisters. The police believes the three friends are responsible of the kidnapping. A fair (งานฉลอง) organized by Khun Prangsee's husband turns to a disaster as police tries to arrest them. By fleeing, the three friends bring the Police by luck to Decha's house. Ruffians are captured. Ladies are released and the three friends are innocented. They prefer to go back to their village than staying in Bangkok. The three ladies bring them to their village but finally flee as Yiem's house collapse on them, as it is discovered that Sayan is already married, as Phabai offers a weird amulet (ปลัดขลิก)!

Thai movie เกวียนหัก was released in year 1978 and lasts 1h26mn. The DVD picture is not sharp as the original 35mm film was certainly very damaged and incomplete. The DVD was released by Happy Home Entertainment in year 2014. Aunt Sarinthip Siriwan is taking care of her nephew Rien (Nantana Ngao Krajang), whose beauty impresses many men. She is just 16 years old and is the daughter of subdistrict headman Kecha (Kecha Plianvithee). น้อง Kuay (Duangcheewan Komolsen) likes Faeng but he prefers Rien. Sor (Sor Asanajinda) is the Faeng’s father. Taming (Dam Datsakorn) is a robber. Sayan Chantaraviboon and Lak Apichat are part of his team. Sawin Sawangrat is the village leader (ผู้ใหญ่). Today is an important day to perform good deeds at the Buddhist temple (ทำบุญที่วัด). Chan (Somphob Benjatikul) tries to seduce Krajang. Festival, dances, songs, fireworks do happen after the religious ceremony. Faeng wins a small contest similar to rocket festival (ประเพณีบุญบั้งไฟ) versus Chan. Faeng (Sorapong Chatree) loves Rien so it generates jealousy from other men in the village. While trying to kiss Rien, Faeng is injured by her to the arm by her spade (ไม่เสียหาย). During the night Taming robs some houses. Faeng is summoned to subdistrict headman's house. Faeng is accused to have joined Taming the night before to rob houses. Faeng has an injury at the arm so he must be culprit. Rien admits she was the one to injure Faeng (เรื่องปล้นหรือเรื่องปล้ำ) because he tried to kiss her. Kecha loses face in front of the villagers! Disappointed, Kuay enters in Faeng's room. He pities her and tells an old secret story about the village leader being the one robbing houses before. They almost become lovers but Faeng asks her to go back. Chan declares his love to Rien but she is not interested. He wishes to ask her hand to her father. Rien and Faeng love each other but the subdistrict headman forbids Faeng to meet his daughter again. The father shall bring her away on the next day. Faeng and Rien become lovers (รักเหมือนโจร). Taming promises to help. Faeng's father is found dead. Faeng storms the subdistrict headman's place as he believes he knows who is behind the murder. Fightings occurs and the village leader is killed. Faeng learns where Chan and Rien are heading. Love circumstances towards Rien push Faeng to become a ruffian. Fierce fightings happen when Taming, Faeng and the ruffians storm the convoy led by Chan. Faeng defeats Chan but Rien dies following her injuries caused by the cart (เกวียน) falling on her.

First task is to shoot a drug dealer but Phukphan just hits him slightly. Ruffian Malboro (Kecha Plianvithee) is coming from Indonesia with his two daughters Suriya (Pissamai Wilaisak) and Dara (Pawana Chanajit). New task given to Phukphan is to kidnap a politician. Phukphan’s double game is unmasked by Nida but she remains silent. The kidnapping fails as Phukphan, Phan and the police act on time. Malboro suspects there is betrayal (ทรยศ) inside Sangvien's team. Phukphan is uncovered. Malboro decides now to use his own daughters to plan. Oon, Phukphan’s girlfriend, is working in a club. Malboro’s ruffians chase Oon to know where Phukphan is living. The murder attempt on Phukphan fails. Following shopping in Siam Square, Dara and Suriya are chased by the police. They flee through a taxi and are finally rescued by Phukphan and Phan. Those two guys cannot resist trying seducing beautiful ladies. The secret organisation (องค์การ) kidnaps Mareusi, daughter of a politician, during her birthday party. It is the unique daughter of a rich politician of Thailand’s main party. The organisation retreats to their secret base and asks for a ransom. Wen changes side as he refuses to betray anymore his own country. Phukphan, Phan and the police invade the island. Multiple shootings happen during which Dara, SangVien, Nida and many ruffians lost their life. Malboro dies following a boat accident while fighting with Phukphan. There is a moralist nationalist ending as Wen, who helps Thai police, survives his injuries. Phukphan promises to marry Suriya. ด่านนรก (Asian Connection) is a typical 1970s Thai action movie involving Thai police and Thai army fighting against a mysterious international organisation threatening Thailand integrity.

Thai movie อาณาจักรนักเลง was released in year 1978. It lasts 1h54mn. Labeu (Sombat Methanee) is a policeman. He gets some help from Siaw (Lak Apichat) to capture ruffians. He gets framed by drug traffickers and ends up in jail. Policeman Kanchit (Kanchit Kwanpracha) is building a team including Somjing (Piyamas Monayakol) to fight traffickers. He asks to get Labeu in his team as he believes he is not guilty and it would be a redemption opportunity. Labeu is reluctant but as it is to neutralise a dangerous organisation and clean Thailand's bad reputation as drug trafficking platform, he finally accepts. Drug traffickers include the boss Decha (เจ้านาย - Kecha Plianvithee), Phi Ho (Dam Datsakorn), Chat Mongkolchai, Pipop Pupinyo, Suriya Chinaphan and Duangcheewan Komolsen as secretary. Police team includes Nard Poowanai, Kanchit (Kanchit Kwanpracha), Somjing (Piyamas Monayakol), Gnamta (Tanyarat Lohanan), Labeu (Sombat Methanee). Decha is aware that Labeu has been released. Yousuf is killed in his jail (กุญแจดอกสำคัญ) before being able to share information. Drugs traffickers shall not be underestimated. Ruffians try to stop Labeu but he is now using similar ways as them (grenade...) as he is no longer an official police inspector. Drug ends up in seaport Sri Racha. Phairoj is working as an informant with whoever pays him. Interpol works with Thai people. Pinyo shots one of the foreign policeman. Labeu succeeds to get Kwan's agenda. Kwan (Duangjai Hathaikarn)(หลานสาว), Decha's relative, is captured by Labeu while inspecting a wagon supposed to contain drugs. Money exchange is proposed. Labeu acts like a ruffian now. Phairoj Jaising (อาชีพขายขาว) gives free information to Gnamta as he despises drugs which made his brother die. Decha kills Duangchiwan being unfaithful with Phairoj. Decha killed Kwan's real father many years ago to take over the business. Decha refuses to share the drugs money benefits with his colleagues and imprisons them. Getting back Kwan, he takes refuge in a hidden maze but it gets storms by Labeu and the police. Decha is killed by Apichat. The drugs gang is annihilated and Labeu reinserted in the police as officer (สารวัตร).

She asks help from a man called Peter (ตึ้งกวงหยง - Alan Tang Kwong-Wing), a detective, but she flees away with his car while he is fighting against four men. Wang, Peter's boss, has a plan to propose to him. It includes managing mysterious documents for a high fee. Wang has an appointment in Nathan hotel and brings Peter with him. Miss Jang is not there and through the phone, she tells them to go to another meeting place. Miss Jang is found dead there. Wang dies in her car’s explosion. Back to the hotel Nathan, Peter succeeds to enter in the room but gets attacked by ruffians that he defeats. Peter gets a phone number on a paper and a mysterious golden key. Peter flies to Thailand through Cathay Pacific and meets a beautiful lady called Meg (Meg Lam Kin-Ming) in the plane. Sombat Methanee enters in Peter's taxi at the Bangkok airport and proposes a 50% 50% partnership. Meg later meets Boo Wibunnan in Bangkok. She is recommended by Yong as a club singer. Laksamee (Sasima Singsiri) is Boo's wife. The mysterious phone number belongs to Aranya Namwong! Aranya knows Miss Jang as they were singers in the same nightclub. Kecha Plianvithee is the head of ruffians (เจ้านาย). He is looking for those important documents. Sombat Methanee is trying to get information from Aranya also. Peter meets Laksamee in the nightclub. Outside the nightclub, he gets attacked by four ruffians sent by Boo but Laksamee helps him to flee. Some daring scenes with Laksamee were censored in Thai version. Boo's wife uses all ways to get information from Peter causing Boo's jealousy. As Peter meets Aranya in the nightclub, Laksamee and Boo spy them through a microphone. Outside Aranya's home, Peter gets attacked by Boo's ruffians again but succeeds to escape thanks to Sombat, who is in fact a Thai policeman. The remaining Thai sequence ends up here. The mafia knows that Peter has the key so they kidnap Aranya's family to force her to steal the key. She succeeds to get the golden key from Peter but she is shot by Boo once he gets the famous list from a bank safe that could be opened only with the golden key. Peter and Sombat follow the ruffians up to a remote island. Heavy shootings happen. Ruffians are captured thanks to Meg. Meg was in fact an undercover policeman.

Thai Police, led by Wittaya Sukdamrong, are ready to surround the house where ruffians are hiding. House is stormed and all ruffians are neutralized. The subdistrict headman (กำนัน) and the police headman are corrupted by Anan. Seua Thong (Dam Datsakorn) is his close hand doing the dirty job. Mae Chom (Ratanaporn Intarakamhaeng), restaurant owner and wife of Anan, encourages Sing to sell his mother's land. Sing meets Tap (Lak Apichat) and Duangcheewan Komolsen, who tell him the difficulties faced by villagers. Pipop Pupinyo is a small ruffians' leader. Chen (Krung Srivalai) is visiting a friend in Thung Kla. He meets Oon (Naowarat Yooktanun), daughter of Anan. Chen knocks out Pipop. Sing's car explodes. It looks like somebody wants to get rid of him. Sing ends up in jail after shooting two ruffians including Chanee. Choomporn Theppitak, as head of police, orders to transfer him to prison. Lor Tok, Chat Mongkolchai, Dao (Piyamas Monayakol) prepare a plan to release one of their inmate colleagues. Seua Dao helps a prisoner so Sing takes opportunity to flee also. Anan is upset as he was planning to have Sing killed during the transportation but his plan foils. Chen and Sing are friends but nobody knows it. A drug and money exchange is planned by Anan and shall be managed by Seua Thong. But the plan is foiled also as Sing and Seua Dao intervene. Chen is suspected to have warned them. Chen is tortured by Anan as he betrayed him. Sing and Tap successfully release him. Only one song is featured in this movie. Somebody from Bangkok insinuates that Seua Thong shall replace Anan. It fails. Finally Sing, Tap and Chen storm Seua Tong's place. Ruffians are killed and Seua Thong dies following a speed boat race. The same team now storms Anan's place. About to kill Anan, Sing listens to Mae Chom and Oon and spares Anan's life. Anan is arrested by Pukong Palee.

A new house is built and vegetables are planted. Hin wears colorful shirts (สีแปลกๆ). On the way to sell the corn, Hin's truck is stolen and Hin is beaten. Dam Datsakorn and Rith Luecha are the ones behind. They are Pho Lieng’s faithful lieutenants! As Hin is at hospital, Rith kidnaps Sai. Ruffians fail to kill Hin at the hospital so he is aware through Neung and Fon. Pho Lieng (Kecha Plianvithee), the big boss, wishes to marry Fon but Loi knows his daughter will never accept. Seua Tim (Manop Aussawathep) is seen with Pho Lieng but keeps his independence. Hin finds Sai but it is too late as she has been raped and killed. Hin has to forget his previous Buddhist vows (เรื่องคนชั่ว) to take revenge. Hin reuses the chain that was used to kill Sai in order to hit the ruffians. Fierceful fights happen between Hin and Rith / Dam in an underground casino. Despite Hin winning, Pho Lieng orders the ruffians to kill Hin but Seua Tim forbids as guns are not allowed in his casino. Hin kidnaps Fon to bring trouble to Kamnan Loi. Pho lieng orders to kill Subdistrict headman Loi as this latter refuses to enter in a bigger scale of corruption (แบ่งกันกินแบ่งกันใช่). Lom and Fon believes the murderer is Hin. Finally Seua Tim explains the truth to them. Justice happens and all the ruffians are killed. Hin leaves as a lonely cowboy. Ruffians are terrorising the local villagers (ปล้อนบ้าน). Krieng and Krai want to report a killing (แจ้งความ) to the village headman but he is out of town. The village headman has two children, Sarapee and her brother Han (หาญ - Dam Datsakorn). Han uses a lot of bad influence (อิทธิพล) and is always accompanied by ruffians. Han is committing extortion under the name of Seua Hin (เสืออินทร์). Sarapee is Krieng's love. Some villagers refuse to sell their land to Boonthong (บุญทอง), a local rich businessman. Boonthong is using Han to push them. He has a beautiful daughter called Angkap (อังกาบ - Piyamas Monayakol). Angkap is Krai's love (นางฟ้ามาแล้ว). Han doesn't appreciate his sister to go out with Krieng so this one is beaten by ruffians. Han also loves Angkap. Han is collaborating with Boonthong. Angkap is promised by her father to Han. The third son, Kan (กาญจน์), played by Nard Poowanai, is back. While Krieng and Krai are working in the fields, Kaew and the father are killed. The three brothers are looking for revenge. The village headman is not aware that his son is smuggling with Boonthong. Ket (เกตุ – Lak Apichat) is one of Han’s ruffians but he has a nice heart and always warns Angkap if something fishy is under preparation. Han is always looking for arguments with Krieng even during a temple fair. Han uses Ket to shoot Krai in the back while performing Thai folk dance (รำวง) as he is jealous of his relation with Angkap. Ket is playing double game as a fake bullet is used to shoot Krai. Ket warns Angkap that Han plans a night attack to get rid of Krai. Warned by Angkap, the three brothers prepare a surprise for Han and his ruffians. The ruffians fall in a trap and only Han and a few guys escape death. Han takes revenge over Ket by raping and killing his wife. Ket recognizes that Han’s missing short button is the one he found near his wife’s dead body. Following fist fights and car motorbike chase between Ket and Han, Han finally succeeds to flee. Han kills Boonthong to get his money and recruits more mercenaries. The three brothers and Ket are ready to fight back but they need to face 50 ruffians having M16 guns. Police lead by Mot is coming to help. Ruffians take Sarapee as hostage. A final face to face between the father and Han, the ruffian son, happens. Following a misunderstanding the village headman shoots his own son. Ket also dies. It is moralist ending. Ket is an unknown hero and law remains stronger than filial bonds. It is a 2h03mn movie. Kam (Choomporn Theppitak), married to Metta Roongrat, is one of the small leader wanting to kill Sing A. Nop (Kamthorn Suwanpiyasiri) and Sai (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) are close friends with Sing A. Sing A finally sympathizes with Nolee (Aranya Namwong), daughter of Nop. Phi Pon (Sahat Piempongsan) and his team start hostilities and take over a mine. Mek (Chana Sriubon) and Wan are having a love affair. Tan (Manop Aussawathep) orders to kill Sing A. KoLit and Mek defeat Pipop Pupinyo and his guys trying to enter in their ranch. Krong is shot and injured by another gang. Tan refuses to work with Phi Pon (ขายหน้า). Chat Mongkolchai and his ruffians attack Mek's house but get defeated by KoLit and Mek following a long boat race. Wedding is happening between Mek and Wan. Chun is looking for troubles during the wedding but gets punched by Sing A. Tan is burnt in his car by Phi Pon's team and becomes blind. As a revenge, Phi Pon gets killed by Kanchit. Tan relearns to shoot using his ears instead of eyes. Pinyo and his ruffians kill Sing A's mother but get axed by KoLit and Mek. Kam is arrested by the police. Aranya has a cancer but Sing A still wishes to marry her. Tan takes his revenge over those who caused the fire making him blind. All mafia leaders are now out of the game except Chun. A feast is organized but Chun's ruffians (Somsak Chaisongkram) are bringing a mess. Honor needs to be washed with blood (เลือดต้องล้างกับเลือด). Chun's house is stormed and Chun himself is killed but remaining people including Sing A get caught by police. Thai movie ดวล (The last duel) was released in year 1977. It lasts 1h31mn. It seems that the movie was never released on VCD or DVD but only shown on Thai TV channel 11. The soundtrack is unfortunately very bad and barely audible. It features a bunch of actors always playing ruffians such as Kecha Plianvithee, Chanee Yotchai, Paen Pleumsachai and Pipop Pupinyo. Ek Amarin (เอก อัมรินทร์) is the main actor. Kecha and Surasit Sattayawong are friends with an overseas ruffian. They kill a couple to steal money and also take their daughter. Their teenage son promises to get revenge. 20 years have passed. Kecha's birthday is happening. Narin from France is present. Ek spoils the party and promises to get revenge against the ruffians one by one. He finally gets stopped by Narin (ไม่น่าเป็นโจร). Ek reverses the situation and brings Narin in a cave as a prisoner. He finds that Narin has a necklace and a birth tattoo on her back showing that she is his lost sister separated from him when their parents were killed by ruffians. Ek gets rid of Chanee and Surasit through duels. He also kills Pipop in one to one duel. One of the overseas ruffians leaders is chased by speed boat, then by car but Ek gets defeated. Ek is tortured, attached to a pole and left for dead. He is finally released by Narin. Ek is then chased by a motorcycle, a helicopter and then a F1 car but still survives! Finally Ek shots also Kecha. The movie moves to Spain into a with a five minutes corrida sequence that looks like more a documentary. He also shots the last ruffian, who was a Spanish citizen. Revenge cycle is over. This movie got limited success despite bringing some foreign stars. Ek Amarin is also less famous than other Thai cinema stars of the 1970s decade.

Thai movie เจ้าพ่อ 7 คุก was released in year 1977. It features two major Thai cinema stars together, i.e. Sombat Methanee and Sorapong Chatree. The remaining sequence lasts 1h22mn. Papum (Sombat Methanee) succeeds to escape from prison four times but he is recaptured by the Thai police each time. Sorapong is a soldier. Chaiyan Sorakrai as another soldier gets killed in the fightings. Sorapong is married and has one kid. While he is fighting at the border, his father is killed and his wife is raped by ruffians led by Jit (Kecha Plianvithee) and including Ming and Pipop Pupinyo stealing the cattles. Sorapong finds Pipop and kills him. Before he learns from Pipop that Ming is now in jail so Sorapong surrenders to police in order to be sent to jail. Sorapong ends up in same jail as Papum, who is still trying to escape (นักโทษวิเศษ). He also befriends with Ming. The three guys now prepare to escape. There is a famous scene, where Sombat as prisoner smashes a rat and eats it raw. The three men succeed to escape through some pipes thanks to a file given by Sorapong to Papum in order to cut his chains. After obtaining information on Jit, Sorapong kills the ruffian Ming following a one to one fight. Papum and Sorapong go to north of Thailand to find Jit. They join a group including พ่อเลี้ยง Chawalit (Manop Aussawathep), Nirut Sirijanya and Malee (Sirikwan Nanthasiri). They go through the mountains by small paths. Papum meets Naowarat Yooktanun. Love emerges. Surasit Sattayawong is the hill tribe village leader (ผู้ใหญ่). Two groups are exercising influence, i.e. Jit and Chawalit, around the mountains. Meiyo, Naowarat’s younger brother, is shot by Jit’s ruffians as he listened to them talking about Papum and Sorapong. Malee has disappeared. The two groups prepare to fight. Nirut releases Malee but they are chased by ruffians. Malee gets shot and dies. Papum and Sorapong escape murder tentative. The two groups confront each other and heavy shootings happen. Final fights between Papum and Dam Datsakorn, between Sorapong and Jit occur. Naowarat helps Papum. Sorapong kills Kecha but gets severly injured and dies. Papum ends up 10 years in prison but Naowarat waits for him. This movie features an impressive list of famous Thai actors and actresses from decade 1970s.

Ket (Krung Srivilai) promises to his dying boss to go to Khao Kiaw to find the children he never had time to care of. Viwe (Songthong), an independant ruffian is wandering around Khao Kiaw. Kraison and his sister Mon are besieged in a restaurant by ruffians. Viwe agrees to help them but is asking for money as reward. Ket, having his lunch, helps them by shooting the ruffians. They all flee. Later in the village, Ket helps a young lady called Kaem (น้องสาวคนสวย) (จะไม่มีวาสนาเห็นขาอ่อนของฉัน) harassed by a few ruffians (Somsak Chaisongkram). Ket is looking for uncle Pran. Ket learns from Kaem that uncle Pran was shot a few months ago. Kaem brings Ket to meet Pran's children, i.e. Plaew (Naowarat Yooktanun) and Prai (Suriya Chinaphan). Kaem is Prai's girlfriend. Pracha (Kecha Plianvithee) is the ruffians leader. They all refuse to sell their land to Pracha. Pracha wants to know who is the man who resists to his ruffians. Plaew hires Ket to protect her fields (ไร่). Many beautiful “luk thung” (ลูกทุ่ง) are performed by Krung and Naowarat. Plaew bewares of Ket as he insolent (ทะลึ่ง). Pracha hires Viwe to kill Kraison. The ruffians take revenge over Ket by torturing him but this time Kraison helps to release him. Kaem loves Ket but Ket sees her as a young sister only (ที่ใครที่มัน). Prai is framed by Pracha's mistress and has to kill one of the ruffians to be able to flee away. Viwe asks for additional bonus to Kraison to avoid killing him. It ends up in a fight. Ket, Plaew and Prai threatens Pracha to stop harassing them for a last time but Pracha is preparing his revenge. While a Buddhist ceremony (ผ้าป่า) happens in the village, Plaew is kidnapped. Ket follows Pracha's ruffians in order to release her. Gun fights happen. Pracha and his ruffians are killed. Viwe, always helping people for money, is also shot dead. The movie end is a bit weird as it is discovered that Kraison killed many years ago Ket's brother so he has to revenge his dead brother. Ket is arrested by the police following his bad acts. Plaew promises to wait for him. Thai movie นักเลงสามสลึง (1976) or “the three ruffians” features many famous Thai actors from 1970s decade. Krung Srivilai was then at his zenith. Kaew prevents her brother from abusing Wallin. ภูมิ พัฒนายุทธ, Kan (Kom Akadej), Wai (Lak Apichat), Suki (Sayan Chantaraviboon) meet Chat in the restaurant (เอาเต็มที่). He claims to be เสือ4แคว. They sympathize with Chat, who sends them to help Pleung against the 4 devils. Meanwhile, Chat plans to enter Do Tawan group in order to spy them and release Wallin. Pleung, being attacked by Seua, decides to fight back and attack them directly also causing Dam to flee. Do Tawan hires Chat. Seua Ping’s team includes veteran actors Pan Borapet, กฤษณะ อำนวยพร and Paen Pleumsachai. Chat pushes the teams against each other. Chat succeeds to exchange Wallin with Kaew simulating a kidnapping. Meanwhile Choi helps to provide information on Do Tawan's business. Chat is identified as the traitor. Chat shall be smashed by a train but Pleung helps him on time. Knowing that Chat is not dead, Do Tawan moves his stock of drugs in a safer place. Pleung identifies the place and decides to attack it. Chat, being finally a policeman, also comes with reinforcement. All ruffians are killed by the Thai A-team. Unable to flee, Do Tawan prefers to explode the warehouse to avoid surrendering. Pleung has to go back to jail but Chat promises that his efforts to catch Do Tawan will be taken into account to reduce the severity. This movie features a huge number of famous Thai actors and actresses.

Thai movie ใครใหญ่ใครอยู่ / The great outlaw was released in year 1976 and lasts 2h08mn. The movie was released on VCD format in Thailand by company XxX (Triple X). Movie director is เสนีย์ โกมารชุน. Lom is having a boat transportation business on the river. Nai Prakit's ruffians (including Pan Borapet and เมือง อพอลโล่) are threatening Lom's team (Tat Ekathat). Nai Prakit (Kecha Plianvithee) wishes to marry Lom's daughter, i.e. Nam Rong (Aranya Namwong) but Lom refuses. Nai Prakit's team shoots Lom's boats and crew. Lom's staff decides to leave as they are afraid to be killed. Nam Rong proposes to talk to Nai Prakit in order to find a solution. Threatened by ruffians, Nam Rong gets help from an unknown man named Chuey (Sombat Methanee). She hires him! Peace is proposed to Nai Prakit but he is refused. Chuey is the son of an old friend of Lom. Lin See Thong (Uten Boonyong) arrives in the city and comes to eat sweets at Sida's shop (Pawana Chanajit). Fighting occurs with ruffians as one of them dislikes Lin See Thong trying to seduce Sida. Lin See Thong asks to join Nai Prakit's team. Rampeung (Moeifa) is Prakit's girlfriend. Prakan (ลูกรัก)(Dam Datsakorn) is back per his father's request. Prakit needs his help to destroy Lom's business and gets rid of Chuey. A new policeman (Taksin Jampol) arrives also in the city. He is a strong punch man and trashes ruffians lacking respect to him. Prakan, using small speed boats, disrupts Lom's boat fleet and prevent Lom's goods to be sold on the market. Two ruffians, Mek and Sing, intend to get rid of Lin See Thong as he is getting too close to Nai Prakit. Rampeung seduces Lin See Thong. Mek and Sing ask Nai Prasit to beware Rampeung and Lin See Thong. Ruffians try to storm Lom's house at night time. Shooting happens. Police arrive very fast and ruffians have to retreat. Nai Prakit suspects there is a traitor among them. Even Taksin dares to enter in Nai Prakit’s house (บ้านเจ้าพ่อ). Speed boat fighting occurs as Chuey prepares resistance to the ruffians. Action scene is managed as well as in James Bond movies. Chuey defeats Prakan. Nai Prakit kills Rampeung as she sacrifices her life mentioning the police radio found belongs to her despite it belongs to Lin See Thong. Lin See Thong is kept prisoner in his room as Nai Prakit isn't sure he is innocent or not. Ram Rong is kidnapped by Prakan. Lom and Chuey enter Nai Prakit's home. Meanwhile Thai police is informed, and they arrive by boat. To win time and to allow Thai police to come, Lin See Thong asks for a fight one to one with Chuey to show his sincerity to Nai Prakit. Heavy shootings occur. Lom is shot. Nai Prakit and Prakan are captured. Both Chuey and Lin See Thong are undercover policemen. Policeman Taksin mentions that nobody is big enough to be above the law!

Three men are arrested by the Thai police following a trip to Hong Kong as they are suspected to sell drugs. They are released as no proofs are found. They met a guy called Daeng in the cell and befriended together. A young lady, Maria, Tawai's assistant, pick them up. Daeng is trying to join Tawai's secret organization, which is buying and selling weapons and drugs. Such organization undermines Thailand. As Tawai orders Daeng to kill Krit (Sombat Methanee), Daeng reveals that he is a hidden policeman and convinces Krit, who is a drug smuggler, to join his side. Policemen and gangster groups go to the golden triangle, border between Thailand, Laos and Burma. Heavy fightings happen between both groups. The country traitors are killed or captured. Some policemen are killed but they didn't die in vain as they give their life for the nation, the religion and the monarchy. It is a typical action movie of mid 1970s in which Thailand needs to be protected against external red communist threat. There is a rupture with traditional movies as Thai actors shake hands, listen to western music and kiss ladies in front of spirits shrines.

Two CIA agent are slain in Pattaya by a mysterious scarface man. A CIA top management meeting is organised in Washington. A nuclear missile called Alpha has been stolen. Suspects are a communist terrorist group called Fuji and led by a Cambodian General named Keng, the KGB and an influential Thai businessman called Koo. All of them are implicated in this Alpha project. Another American agent called Reddy is flying from Hong Kong to find the missile hidden somewhere in Thailand. Reddy tries to meet Koo’s daughter, Erica. Reddy and Erica had a former romantic relation and still love each other after 4 years of separation. Zee (Krung Srivilai) is like a son for Koo and also his favorite henchman. Zee loves Erica also. He doesn’t trust Reddy and believes he is a undercover CIA agent. Two secret agents of Thailand are also supporting Reddy in his quest. Koo's mistress is played by Pawana Chanajit, the Pearl of Asia. She is in fact working for Fuji group. Koo doesn't want his daughter to see Reddy. An impressive car chasing and shootings takes place during Chiang Mai Songkran festival between Ruddy, Erica and Fuji members. Reddy is captured while entering Koo’s house. Erica helps Reddy to flee as he has been drugged. Reddy finally finds the missile after multiple fighting scenes against Fuji group and against Zee. Zee really loved Erica as he sacrifices his own life to avoid her being shot by Fuji members. This movie is fully packed with actions sequences such as train collision, boat chase, shooting, car chase, helicopter gunned down... The movie includes multiple treacheries and double agents. It is nice to see so many Thai actors in this international Hong Kong / Thai movie. Two international stars Robert Mitchum and Olivia Hussey brought more international exposure to this movie. In 1970s Krung Srivilai always played the good guy but in this international production, he is playing well the bad guy. The English dubbing is quite weird but the movie has really a nice budget. This movie is a Bangkok film production. It is available in Thailand as “ตัดเหลี่ยมเพช” and in Hong Kong on VCD format under the title "H-Bomb".

Thai movie พรานเพชฌฆาต (TOKYO-SEOUL-BANGKOK - 東京-ソウル-バンコック_実録 麻薬地帯) was released in year 1973. It lasts 1h42mn. This co production movie is lost in Thailand but still available in Japan. As the movie is in Japanese language only, below summary might not be fully correct. Two cars are chasing and the lady's car is pushed in a ravine. She was Sonny Chiba's girlfriend. In the remainings of the car, a camera is found. It contains a picture of the girlfriend and another younger Korean lady. Ruffians are following Sonny and beat him seriously. He gets help from a detective. The ruffians become the ones chased but their leader succeeds to escape. The movie continues to Hong Kong where the leader does his drug trafficking. The action ends up in Thailand. Pipop Pupinyo is the right hand of the Japanese ruffian in Thailand. Chosri Misommon is playing a domestic helper. The ruffian leader's girlfriend sees Sonny in a market. Sonny meets Chaiya Suriyun but this latter dislikes Japanese people. Finally Chaiya helps Sony when he is overwhelmed by thugs sent by Pipop Pupinyo. Ruffians leader wishes to buy heroin and gets introduced to Kecha Plianvithee by Pipop. Heroin shall be available in north of Thailand. Chase is happening between Sony and the ruffians leader. Kecha through a small airplane tries to kill all of them. Chaiya is also involved in the shootings. The girlfriend is shot. The ruffians leader is killed but Kecha gets also killed. Before dying the Japanese ruffians leader gives important information about the gang location in Japan. Sony accepts to bring Chaiya to Thailand and they destroy their secret laboratory and the leader dies. The Thai poster mentions 4 countries for a budget of 14M Baht. Chaiya Suriyun is put in the centre of the poster despite not being the main actor of the movie.

Kan (Sombat Methanee), a policeman, shoots Saen's father, who is smuggling illegal goods. Saen (Kecha Plianvithee) wishes to avenge his father. He invites Kan for a birthday party and drugs him. When Kan wakes up, a dead man is found near him. Kan is accused of murder and is sent ten years in jail. Kan promises to use a baton (คมแฝก) and not a gun anymore for his revenge. After ten years, Kan is back but his family is torn apart. He wishes to revenge against the mafia leader (เจ้าพ่อ) Saen. Sithao Petcharoen and his wife are bar owners. Taprao (Metta Roongrat) is their daughter. Kan's father is dead but Kan is still looking for his mother, his wife Dokmai and his sister Kalog. Dokmai (Kaenjai Meenakanit) is now Saen's wife. Krai Kanchit is a new policeman in the city. Sukon Koewliam, an undertaker (สัปเหร่อ), supports Kan. Kan enters Saen's house to find his mother and sister. Achan (Aranya Namwong), Saen's younger sister, promises to help but she finally betrays him. Kan is captured by Saen. Feeling guilty, Achan releases him. Kan takes refuge in the undertaker’s home. Pleung (Luechai Natnat) arrives in the city and ends up in Sithao's bar. A new ruffian Fai (มือดี)(เพชร พิษณุ) arrives in Saen's team. Kan declares his love to Achan. Ruj Ronnapop (ขายยา) warns Kan about the new hitman. Kan bewares of Fai and Pleung despite Ruj confirms Fai is finally on their side. Fai is Pleung’s younger brother. Fighting happens between Kan, Ruj, Pleung and Saen's men in Sithao's bar. Police has to intervene. Saen wishes to hire Pleung. While simulating being a movie dubber, Ruj finds weapons hidden in wooden crates. He meets Kalog (Sasithorn Phetrung). Kan sends a grenade to destroy the weapons stock as Saen plans to hurt Thailand. Police inspector Krai comes to arrest Saen but another teammate pretends the weapons belong to him. Achan warns Kalog, younger sister of Kan, about Saen's activities. Kalog succumbs to Ruj. Robbery of a house is failing, and a few ruffians are killed. Saen suspects Kalog is the one disclosing his activities schedule to Kan. Her mother tries to intervene but she is killed. Achan discloses that she is the one warning Kan. Saen and his men storm Sithao's bar. Kan is knocked out. As Saen cannot shoot a man sleeping, he closes his eyes before firing. Dokmai interposes and she is the one being shot. Upset, Saen defies Kan and his friends as he kidnapped the three ladies. Saen, Fai and Ruj go to release them but they have to surrender. It is disclosed that Kan is new chief district and both Fai and Rj being undercover policemen. Caretaker Sukon Koewliam is ordered to prepare three coffins. Kan and his friends have to prepare their own graves (ฝังตัวเอง). Sithao helps to release the ladies and gives them guns. Sukon bring back coffins containing policemen. Shooting happens between policemen and ruffians. Saen finally causes his stock of dynamite to explode as his cigar falls on it. Pleung character played by Luechai Natnat disappears after a while during the movie. It is said it was killed. Maybe there was a conflict between Luechai Natnat and the producer / director so the character Pleung has to be removed.

Ruffians capture a man fleeing with a suitcase. Two important letters inside have disappeared from the suitcase when he hit a group of three people while running away. Those people are a father (Surasit Sattayawong), his daughter Fimeuang (Pawana Chanajit) and their friend (Joomjim Khemlek). Those letters are related to their plan to bring troubles from overseas into South of Thailand (คนขายชาติ). Sak (Prachuap Ruekyamdee) and inspector (สารวัตร) Cheut (Sombat Methanee) meet the 3 characters in Nakhon Sawan and sympathize. Ruffians try everything to get back those letters but Sak and Cheut support them. Cheut communicates with his Police Headquarters through young lady Nop (Yaowaret Nisakorn also called Petchara 2). Ramet (Kecha Plianvithee), undercover ruffians leader, tries to seduce Dao (Aranya Namwong) but she doesn't like him. Ramet is a good friend of Krit (Ruj Ronnapop), Dao's brother, as he can always borrow money to him for gambling (พนัน). Cheut also appreciates Dao. Fimeuang and her father take refuge in Chiang Mai. Finally Fimeuang understands that Cheut is a right and trusty man, so she gives him the envelopes. Fimeuang loves secretly Cheut and goes back to Surin. Cheut’s heart is divided between Dao, Fimeuang and Nop. Cheut is captured by the ruffians. Finally Sak helps him on time. Ramet is captured but finally later on free again so it looks like a part of the movie is missing. Willing to get back the letters, the ruffians capture Fimeuang and her friend Kamoon. The father shall give back the letters back to Ramet to save his daughter’s life. Policeman Cheut, Sak and Nop help to penetrate the ruffians’ camp. Dao and Chris also realize who is Ramet while visiting the camp and find that Fimeuang is held captured there. During final shootings, Fimeuang is unfortunately shot. Ruffians are defeated. Movie พยัคฆ์เหนือ เสืออิสาน ยมบาลใต้ is a mix of action and comedy. This small movie really features a great bunch of Thai actors and Thai actresses from decade 1960s.

A mysterious Dakota airplane drops a big parcel in the sea, containing in fact the ruffians leader (หัวหน้าใหม่) called Adamcha (Kecha Plianvithee). Meanwhile two Royal Thai airplanes intercept the plane forcing it to land at Don Meuang airport. Thai Army is then aware that a mysterious organisation is preparing plans to harm Thailand so Thai army chief asks his officers to do their best to protect Thailand, Buddhism and the King. Police inspector (สารวัตร) Chet (Mitr Chaibancha) needs to help also and to find an agent called double X. Double X is in fact a police woman called Chin Chin. Adul (Adul Dulyarat) steals some documents in governmental building. Amara (Amara Asavananda), a young lady, supports Adul as part of the organisation. The secret organisation (ผู้ก่อการร้าย) brings disorder in Thailand through bombs and Thai police seems unable to stop them. Chet follows Adamcha's car but gets captured when entering in Adamcha's house. The police chief asks another policeman to help, i.e. Chet's younger brother called Sombat (Sombat Methanee). Real actor names are used in this movie as anyway it was a 16mm movie with dubbing. During an evening party to celebrate their bad achievements, double X's team kidnaps Amara and asks for a ransom. Adul follows the police ladies and after being summoned by Chin Chin (Audrey Sing) regarding his treacherous behavior over Thailand, he accepts to change side. He works for the organisation because of his love for Amara. Sombat helps to release Amara and shoot some policemen (แสดงหนัง). Sombat is finally accepted in the secret organisation following a test. A bank attack turns to a fiasco as police was aware. Sopha (Sopha Sataporn), Sombat’s love, is injured. It seems there is spy in the organisation. Sombat helps his brother Chet to flee. Chet is back to the house with full Police squad but Adamcha and his clique have already left. Chet succeeds to get the plan of their new retreat but the ruffians, seeing army soldiers, retreat to a well hidden place. Adul provides the location to the police but is identified as traitor. He is imprisoned and refuses any help from Amara, his former love. Police and army storm the hidden place of their organisation. Following various shootings and Adul's sacrifice, the secret organisation is vanquished. It is another nationalist 1960s movie with police and army protecting Thailand against external threats. The picture quality features many red and green lines (เส้นฝนตกมาก) as company Phanmitr has used the latest film reels available for this movie, which was very popular in 1960s. คนเหนือคน (Top Secret) is a 2h15mn movie. It is also features a few popular songs including a duo Sombat and Sopha.

Movie Operation Bangkok / เพชรตัดเพชร was released in year 1966 and lasts 1h50mn. It is a HK Thai co production managed by three film directors including Wichit Khunawut. Mitr Chaibancha meets Yot (Luechai Natnat). An exchange of suitcases happens over a bridge. Adinan Singhiran is Yot’s acolyte. Yot betrays Mitr and tries to keep the two suitcases. Shooting happens and Yot flees. Choomporn Theppitak is part of a gang led by Kecha Plianvithee. Yot belongs to the same gang also. Luechai arrives in Hong Kong. He meets Adul Dulyarat on a boat to exchange drugs against money. The drug is fake and he steals the money by punching Adul. He flees to Bangkok and escapes to Choomporn, who tries to shoot him with a long range rifle. Yot has betrayed (ทรยศ) Kecha. Yot meets singer Pai Lu (Hong Kong actress Regina Pai Ping) in the plane and sympathizes. Mitr disguises himself as Chat, a tough ruffian, to infiltrate Kecha’s gang. Chadaporn Wachirapranee is Chat’s old wife so he punches Sompol Kongsuwan to show he is back. Chao Klaewklong introduces Chat to Kecha. Kecha is looking for a new right-hand man (แขนขวาคนใหม่) as Yot betrayed him. Kecha wishes Chat to get rid of Yot. Ratsamee (Petchara Chaowarat) loves Yot but Yot also loves Pai Lu, who is in fact an undercover policewoman from Hong Kong. Ratsamee warns Yot that Adul is around looking for him. Pai Lu and Ratsamee escape from Adul but get arrested by policeman Lor Tok, who ignore they are from Interpol Police (ตำรวจสากล). A painting called เพชรตัดเพชร is purchased by Wilaiwan Watthanaphanit bidding against Kecha. Miss Boran (Kaenjai Meenakanit) is the sexy painter. Adul wishes to buy the jewel hidden in the painting but this one is now always worn by Miss Boran. The jewel contains a password (รหัด). Choomporn kills Miss Boran to get the jewel but Yot and his team steal it from him also. Pai Lu is surnamed HK 16. Mitr is surnamed BKK 38 (ตำรวจไทยเจ้าชู้อย่างนี้ทุกคนหรือค่ะ?). Mitr helps Pai Lu chased by two ruffians including Choomporn. Chat brings Pai Lu himself to Kecha. Understanding that she is an enemy (ศัตรู), she is condemned to be shot by Choomporn but Chat succeeds to charge the gun with blank bullets. Yot falls in a trap prepared by Adul to steal the diamond but it fails and Adul dies. Yot wishes to make peace with Kecha. Kecha wants only one right-arm man so both Chat and Yot have to fight against each other. Pai Lu and Petchara ask them to stop fighting. They are all captured by Kecha. Part of the movie is then lost here. Wilaiwan shots Ratsamee. Hopefully Pai Lu shots Wilaiwan and can help Ratsamee on time. Thai police attack the ruffians. All are killed or captured but Kecha succeeds to flee. Kecha refuses to surrender to the Thai police and prefers to explode his boat. The movie ends up on a sad note as Pai Lu has to leave Chat to go back back to Hong Kong, Ratsamee is separated from Yot as he has to go to jail. This movie is still available in Hong Kong under title 諜海蛟龍 and was shown on cable TV. The famous song of this movie is ดวงใจ by singer สวลี ผกาพันธุ์. This movie is one of the best confrontations between Thai superstars Mitr Chaibancha and Luechai Natnat. As it is a HK Thai co production, it is interesting to find that the Chinese version poster features Chinese actress Regina Pai Ping’s head in big size. Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat are displayed in small size. But the Thai poster displays more prominently Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat. In the Chinese synopsis, Mitr Chaibancha is written as mi-tsai- wan-chai (Thai detective No 78) and called as Ah Tsai in the movie. Regina Pai Ping (Hong Kong agent No 113) is called as Pai Lu in the movie. Petchara Chaowarat is written as Pi-chai-la and called as Sha Mei in the movie. The movie was so famous that it was released once in year 1966 and then reshown again in year 1975. The original version lasts 2h20mn but the 1975 version was reduced to less than 2 hours as both movies เพชรตัดเพชร and คนเหนือคน were shown together. The DVD released by company Pantamit is based on the 1975 version. It took five years for company Pantamit to convince the film owner to lend it in order to make a digital copy. Another film copy remains in the Thai Film archives.
