Pod quits his countryside to find a job in Bangkok. He works first in a factory and then in an office as security guard. He meets Jin who is working as a cleaning lady. Jin is obsessed with cleaning. She also searching for the meaning inside a white book she found earlier. Jin barely notices Pod's adoration, while Pod can never really communicate his love despite all his desperate attempts. Pot even decides to become taxi driver to have chance to stay longer time everyday with Ning while driving her to office. Believing that her white book was written by an environmentalist, she decides to demonstrate everyday against the usage of plastic bags and to help for recycling plastic bottles. She collects so many bottles that a huge montain made of plastic bottles emerges in Bangkok. The film's philosophy is that "if you look too hard for something, you won't see it right in front of you". This strikingly visual film with an optimistic mood earned only a meagre five million baht but it has received a Thailand National Film Association Award for Best visual effects. This movie has also been registered as National Heritage per the 2016 list released by the Thai Film Archive.

This folk-music movie is a remake of one of the most famous Thai movie (มนต์รักลูกทุ่ง) shot in 1970. It features 14 folk songs or "LUUK THUNG" songs. It is about a love story between a poor peasant, Klao, and a young woman, Thong Kwao, coming from a rich family. Thong Kwao's parents are worried about the family assets if their daughter marries a poor man so they send her to Bangkok so that she can be far away from Klao. Thong Kwao's parents refuse Klao's proposal for marriage and request an expensive dower (ค่าสินสอด), i.e. 100 000 Baht. Various misunderstandings happen between Klao and Thong Kwao but love will win.

The movie Siam Renaissance / ทวิภพ was released in year 2004 and lasts 1h57mn. It was released under VCD and DVD format. It is a remake of the 1990 version shot by Cherd Songsri. It was also adapted for TV in 1994 as a Thai TV serie (ละคร) with Saranyu Wongkrachang. It was also adapted as a Musical and a cartoon. It took one year to make the 2004 movie. The director Surapong Pinijkhar was then sick for many years due to a blood vessel issue in the brain and was half paralyzed. It was the first movie for Thai French actress Florence Faivre. The movie had a high budget, but was not a commercial success. The movie takes place in the Rama IV period despite the real story happening in the Rama V period. This version is more elaborated on historical details than the previous versions. This movie was part of the first 25 films heritage list announced on October 4 2011, which is Thai Movies Conservation Day. The director’s cut version lasts 2h23mn. A few sequences were not added to the final movie. In one scene, Manee meets Anna Leonowens, an English schoolteacher in Siam, who became the teacher of King Mongkut's children and wives. In another scene, Anna Leonowens brings Manee to see the King’s harem. Thai lady Manee (Florence Vanida Faivre) is a Paris-based archive specialist. A mysterious French old work 'The Voyageur', written by French author Francois-Xavier, is brought to her for interpretation at the Thai consulate in Paris. Manee is agitated by the record's allusions to Siam's past. Her father (Nirut Sirijanya) is a famous professor in Bangkok. She never got real love from her parents, who were always busy. They are divorced. Her father believes "The Voyageur" is just a tale (นิยาย) as it contains many inaccuracies. When she returns to Thailand, she finds herself going back and forth in time between the present day and the time of Siam's exploitation by French and British colonialists. It started in 1855. Manee finds herself in Doctor Bradley's home, who is the former resident in her own home! Thai people are puzzled by Manee as she can read, write and speak French and English. She meets Francois-Xavier, the French writer. He names her as Marie-Ange. She explains the future to some Thai people, but they doubt and even think she is playing a double game. The British ambassador is coming to negotiate a commercial treaty with Siam. The trade treaty is unfair, but Manee argues it is better to accept instead of providing a good reason for Britain to invade Siam. Siam's secret weapon is a library as only knowledge increase will help Siam to compete with Western powers. Manee learns much about her country's history (Thai Longitude 0 was located in Bangkok at Wat Phra Kaew and set up by King Mongkut) and becomes a fighter alongside her ancestors. One of the highlights of the movie is the true statement that Thai modern people read only six lines a year! She finds valuable lessons in life and love along the way with soldier Thep. Manee wishes to help her fellow Thai friends against greedy French colonialism. She influences the past as she knows the future. Thailand was used as a buffer between English and French possessions. It was seen this way by England but France forced Siam to abandon some of their own possessions such as the Khmer kingdom by threatening to use gunships. The French consul sees Thai people as barbarian people and has no respect for their traditions. Sometimes changes are good and needed. Manee is upset that mistakes in the past cannot be changed such as the failed love between her parents, but people tried their best. 38 years have passed. Thailand is defeated at Paknam by French gunships (14 July 1893 Paknam incident). Siam lost east of the Mekong river banks. Siam has to pay a huge fee amount despite the French only losing three men versus Siam, who lost many lives including Thep. Siam kept its integrity despite losing big parts of territory and Manee lost her love. Manee has stayed in the past and her father is aware of it as he saw some pictures of Manee and Thep together.

This movie takes place in the 1800s. A "pret" ghost is seen by villagers at night time. The "pret" ghost killed a few villagers doing bad deeds such as robbing Buddha statues in temple or removing gold foil from Buddha images. Beung, a young man, believes the "pret" ghost manifestation is linked to the finding of an old Buddha statue. Beung is also fond of Samri, the daughter of the village headman. A local landlord comes to the village to evaluate the old Buddha statue. He also gets interested in Samri. With the help of the village headman, he decides to rob the old Buddha statue to sell it to a rich collector. The temple abbot is killed and Beung is accused of the murder. while bringring the statue back home and Beung to prison, the landlord's team is defeated by the "pret" ghost.

Oui has visions regarding her parents' killer. She believes he is waiting outside. What is the most dangerous? Being inside with ghosts or outside with the killer? Strange noises can be heard in the house when Pa Bua is outside. Pa Bua has locked the house. Oui decides to go on the second floor to decide if people or ghosts are staying there. Two people are furtively seen. One worker, Phi Sutchai, is helping her. Pa Bua comes back. She becomes crazy. Oui has visions as she cannot distinguish truth and dreams. Finally Pa Bua was killing the babysitters that were mistreating Nong Am and was hiding the bones inside the walls. When she was outside, the spirits were wandering and terrifying Nong Am. First-time director Chookiat Sakweerakul has made a smarter Thai horror movie. His impressive debut took only about 10 million baht in Thai box office.

Fai is a lady having scary visions. She is mysteriously connected to the number "6", which is related to bad luck. Fai takes a picture of the group but the young men are not displayed on the picture... They reach the old abandoned mansion close to the sea. It looks like a haunted house with bats, rats, a mysterious hidden owner and a scary caretaker. A calling spirit ceremony (พิธีเรียกวิญญาณ) is performed. A woman spirit answers. Fai believes that the spirit wants them to achieve something. They found a room with 6 coffins. They put in place a network of small webcams and microphones in the house. Six of them performs a new calling spirit ceremony in six different rooms. Suspense is increasing. Woman cries are heard. Ravens attack. A ghost is seen. Blood spills. The batteries run out. Once the batteries are replaced, they have disappeared and finally are found in the coffins. All of them were involved in a murder 70 years ago. In fact they already died in the car accident when going to the house. The ghost already takes his revenge. All of them have died except Fai. This movie has a really nice photography. The suspense momentum gets increased very well.

Joey, young and beautiful Hong Kong lady, is spending a lot of money on shopping in Bangkok to forget her problems. She even tries a suicide tentative because she can see ghosts. The tentative fails. She call a Thai man called Sam during her insomnia. The hotel sends Buddhist monks to chase the ghosts from her room. She goes back to Hong Kong. Her Thai boyfriend still refuses to answer to her calls. She still sees ghosts in many occasions, i.e. in restaurants, MTR train station, bathroom. She discovers that she is pregnant. She decides to see a medium expert and gets Buddhist explanations on her ghostly visions. The medium tells her that a ghost wishes to enter inside her womb and be reincarnated inside her baby. When somebody dies, the spirit shall be reincarnated. It is karma (กรรม) Buddhist belief. So she tries not to panic when seeing ghosts. People believe she is crazy so she is sent to hospital. She sees a spirit trying to enter her womb. A woman ghost is chasing her. She enquiries on women who got suicide in MTR train stations. She forces the ghost to come out by trying to hang up herself. She finds the ghost’s name is Michelle. By interviewing some of Michelle’s family members she finds that her boyfriend Sam was Michelle's husband! Sam couldn't see Joey anymore without thinking about Michelle's suicide. His wife is going to be his daughter! His wife got suicide as a retaliation on Sam having a mistress. Joey doesn't want Michelle to become her baby so she jumps from the hospital roof but fails to die. Finally the baby is born and Joey can live happily with her daughter as she accepts to leave with the moral burden that she has part of responsibility in Michelle’s death. "The Eye" movies are an horror series, with the latest one titled "The Child's Eye 3D" released in 2010.

A Police team is successfully catching a ring leader selling drugs. Later on a sportmen team and the police inspector are going to a remote village in Northern Thailand to make donations (ของบริจาค). They feature demonstration of famous Thai sports (รำมวย, ตะกร้อ). The village is then attacked by mercenaries wearing a red scarf similar to Khmer Rouge soldiers. Santisuk Promsiri is playing the head of the mercenaries and excels in a bad guy role. The abbot, the headman of a tambon (กำนัน) and the village headman (ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน) are killed. All Thai authorities symbols are dead. The mercenaries take the whole village in hostage in order to negotiate the freedom for their group leader. The central power needs to help the provinces. The merciless mercenaries have a missile and threathen to launch it on Bangkok. Villagers shall decide to fight or die (ยอมตายหรือสู้). At 8 AM in the morning the villagers and sportsmen decide to rebel when listening to the King royal anthem. Everybody is fighting against the mercenaries, i.e. young, old, handicapped, men and women. The movie takes a nationalist turn and looks like a modern "Bang Rajan" as it also deals about a Thai village resistance against invaders. Similar to old 1970s action movies, the way for Thailand to survive is to protect the nation, the religion and the monarchy. Thanks to villagers collaboration and the sportmen skills, the mercenaries are defeated. With Panna Rittikrai as director, great cascades and explosions can be expected (ทำจริงเจ็บจริง). The director, Panna Rittikrai, is famous for stunt choreography. Panna released in 2004 his first big-budget studio movie called Born to Fight. He made no fewer than 50 budget movies during the past two decades. เกิดมาลุย is a remake of one of his first movies.

Sars decease spreads worldwide and reaches Thailand. The first to be contaminated is famous TV star Andrew Biggs! Andrew Biggs is television personality in Thailand. Meanwhile the daughter of a mafia leader, called Liu, is kidnapped and kept in the same building as Andrew biggs. A ten million baht ransom is requested. Police shall not be contacted to avoid the daughter facing serious trouble. The father hires a man, who recommends his best student called Nai. Nai speaks like an old style Ayutthaya soldier. Liu succeeds to escape her kidnappers and is rescued by Nai. Andrew Biggs has then become a zombie eating flesh and contaminates many other people in the building. The Thai government closes the building as the virus has spread inside. It is full of zombies. Liu and Nai cannot exit. One government doctor wishes to try her vaccin while another doctor wishes to destroy the whole building to eradicate the virus. This comedy movie mocks the infamous Thai cinema censors and OTOP products (One Tambon One Product). It features Thai classic gags including lady boys (กะเทย), flatulence, giant snake, crazy ghosts (ผีบ้า). It includes references to other foreign movies Jedi, Alien and Thai horror with baby spirits (กุมารทอง). Nai gets bitten also. His master (อาจารย์) comes to help. They suceed to defeat the giant snake and escape from the building. The kidnapper has disguised himself as Liu and so Nai has lost his virginity to a transsexual... Finally the real Liu is retrieved. The bad doctor is bitten by the zombie baby so the SARS decease is not stopped. This movie includes gore scenes with zombies and many funny gags. It really looks like a crazy sexy manga. This movie was not a big success at the Thai box office but it has become a cult movie outside Thailand.

Phet (เพชรา) is a young lady from a Thai Chinese family. Today there is happiness as it is her younger sister's wedding. She is still single (หาผัวไม่ได้). She puts hope in an office colleague but she discovers that he is gay. Phet losts her job but doesn't dare to announce this bad news to her father. The father is having a local restaurant business specialized in Thai Fried Noodles. She meets a teacher Surachat (อาจารย์สุระชาติ) but misunderstandings happen between them. Her father finally discovers she is out of job and she accepts to work as cook (แม่ค้าผัดไทย). There is tension between Soi (ซอย) inhabitants as a multinational company wishes to buy the houses in order to build a department store. Not all accept. One of the side-street leader is played by veteran actor Thep Po-ngam. He protests every day. Phet's father has a health weakness while Phet is out to watch a movie with the teacher. She has arguments with her sister claiming that as she cannot find a husband she should better take care of their father. Phet claims that whoever will come to eat 100 times to her Thai Fried Noodles shop will become her husband. This statement makes noise in the community. A TV producer learns about this and helps to organize a TV game. There is one million baht and Phet's hand for the winner. The game name is Thai Fried Noodles love (ความรักผัดไทย)! Feminist activists complain and call it ผัดไทยขายSex. Many people join (farang, indian, gay and even a former boyfriend Surachsi). Every day, a few people give up as they cannot stand Thai Fried Noodles overdose. At the end, only 3 candidates remain, a lady boy, the teacher and the former boyfriend. The teacher loses as Surachsi gives him a bad medicine to get sick (ท้องเสีย). He is finally qualified again as it is discovered that the lady boys were twins cheating. As the TV producer is found to be out of pennies, the former boyfriend stops also as he was only interested in money prize. Only the teacher remains and wins Phet's heart. The multinational company also finally gives up.

Tropical Malady is the first Thai film to win a Special Jury Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival. When a huge meteor falls to earth in Surin provice, San and his school friends went to the site to take pictures. At the evening that meteor falls, three workmen whom fleed from a mysterious laboratory were killed, and their muscles had been torned out. Thai movie Garuda (ปักษาวายุ) was released in year 2004. In year 1977 an archaeologist dies after discovering an old teeth in India. The action jumps to year 2004 in Bangkok during MRT construction. A solid rock is found during tunnel excavation. It features a weird head similar to a dinosaur. Veena (Sara Leigh) wishes to study it but businessmen don't trust her as she is only half Thai (ลูกครึ่ง). Veena's father is the one who died in Egypt many years ago. She believes it could be a dinosaur linked to the mythical garuda. She goes back to Kalasin. One day her university lecturer calls her to come urgently to Bangkok. A secret entrance has been found behind the rock. Heavily armed (มีดหมอ) soldiers seem to be hiding a secret. Veena flees and through a diversion, her farang friend Hoi Tim cuts the electric generator but is awakening the beast (สัตรโบราณ) staying in a tree. The garuda beast does a rampage on soldiers. Veena is spared due to the teeth talisman of her father. Thai people believe it is a mystical animal (เป็นเทพ). Saen, leader of the soldiers, just wishes to avoid any more killings. The Garuda succeeds to escape from the cave and causes a rampage in Bangkok. Attracted by Veena's talisman, Saen succeeds to injure severely the garuda and kills it.
