Thai movie ปีศาจสีเงิน was released in year 1988. It lasts 1h40mn. Malee (Penpak Sirikul) is working in a brothel. Bookham (Krailat Kriengkrai) sympathizes with her. Bookham discovers that his wife Chaba is having an affair (ชู้) with another man (แม่เลวที่สุด). Malee's husband Thada is only interested in the money she brings and do not hesitate to sacrifice her to take profit of her beauty. Thada is violent and heavy drinker. Malee helps Bookham to feed his baby called Duangjai. Thada is selfish (ไม่กลัวรอคเอ็ดแต่กลัวรอคอด) so he refuses to have a child. Malee finds an abandoned child and wishes to raise it (เอาเด็กมาเลี้ยง). As Thada refuses, Malee asks Bookham to keep the child for her. The child is named Maem. To pay his own debt, he even uses Malee as money replacement. Finally Thada accepts to release Malee following a last sum of money. Bookham and Malee educate the two girls. Chaba keeps visiting Bookham to get money as claiming she wants to raise her daughter Duangjai by herself but Bookham refuses so he has to give her money. Duangjai and Maem don't get along so well. The real mother Wilai finds Malee but the daughter Maem flees her and gets hit by a car. Malee has to work again as prostitute to pay the hospital bill (ความสำเร็จของลูกสำคัญกว่า) (ทำเพื่อลูก). She has to go with Yamato, a Japanese man. He finally marries her but dies shortly due to cancer. She has to take over his hotel and meets an ambitious manager called Somchat (Kowit Wattanakul). Somchat has a lover already, his own secretary but he wishes to marry Malee to steal her money. Bookham warns her but she doesn't listen as love is blind. One night, Somchat brings her in a remote bungalow. Some ruffians hit Somchat and rape Malee. Pictures to blackmail her and request for one million Baht are sent. Bookham is accused by Somchat to be the mastermind. Malee finds Somchat in bed with the secretary. The secretary asks for 1M to forget Somchat. Being an adult already, Maem (Marsha) is back from overseas. Her fiance is Doctor Bin (Bin Banleurit). Doctor Bin wishes to be a countryside doctor to help poor people but this is not the kind of life that Maem is expecting. So clash happens. Thada (แมงดา) finds a job as server in the hotel. Malee has to name him as assistant manager to keep his mouth shut (ความจำเป็นจริงๆ). She wishes to protect Maem in order that she doesn't know her origin. Somchat and his ruffians hit Thada to know Malee's past. Somchat asks for 5M baht to kept silent but is chased as he is identified as the mastermind. Malee wishes to marry Maem with Bin but she is worried that problems could happen during the wedding ceremony. Somchat wishes to bring trouble but Wilai tries to stop him as she will not let anybody brings trouble to the happiness of Maem, her real daughter. During the fight she is killed. Bookham shots Somchat. Then Thada intervenes by threatening Malee with a gun. He discloses that Malee is a prostitute (ความลับไม่มีในโลก) to all and so bringing shame to Maem. Bookham also shots Thada. Maem blames Malee but gets slapped by Bookham as Malee has done everything to bring good education to Maem (ตระกูลไม่สำคัญ ความกตัญญสำคัญ). Bookham ends up in jail. Bin confirms it doesn't change anything for him and confirms the wedding with Maem.

A middle age lady Tien (Pissamai Wilaisak) has two children, Yetha (Duangta Tungkamanee) and Takasit (Likit Eakmongkol). The mother is having a young lover Somrit (Apichat Halamjiak) so getting disapproval from her both children (แม่ไม่อาย). Arop (Suchao Pongwilai) is having two families, one with the major wife Oon (daughter Pim but from another wedding) and one with a minor wife Plaew (daughter Leu). Takasit has just divorced with Yaboot (Jarunee Sooksawad). Somrit is having diner with Yaboot. Somrit is a seducer (ต้นไม้หลายดอก). Pim has seen Arop with Plaew and threatens to do everything she can to break this relationship (ช่วยไม่ได้). Takasit, aware that Somrit is seeing Yaboot, asks her to stop this before she gets disappointed. Yetha also sees Somrit in a disco with Yaboot. She is worried about her mother (บัดซบ / เกลียด). Yaboot's mother sees Somrit with Taen in a restaurant. Both Takasit and Yetha dislike Somit (แมงดา) and are afraid of the consequences on their mother (ไม่ยุติธรรมสำหรับแม่) as she gets love only because of her money. Tien offers a business to Somrit but there is a need to spend a lot of money on promotion. Misunderstanding increases between Yeuta, Tien, Yaboot and Takasit. Somrit is claiming nobody understands him. Yaboot is confused between Somrit and Takasit. Who does she really love? Could she marry again the husband she just divorced? Pim declares her love to Arop. Arop cannot accept this but Oon hears everything, i.e. a daughter loving her step father! Those two families are in middle of serious love crisis. Oon is the traditional Thai wife forgiving his husband’s mistakes such as minor wife. Finally the crisis are solved. Pim decides to go studying abroad and gets pardon from her parents Oon and Arop. Somrit’s double game is unmasked as he asks Yaboot for wedding. The love story with Tien is over and Somrit is chased by Yetha (ไม่ลูกผู้ชาย) under a weapon threatening without any indemnities. Yaboot finally goes back with Takasit and stops listening to her mother. Morality is safe. Somrit remains alone without anything. The movie เหยื่ออารมณ์ (1988) is about love (รัก), separation (เลิก), appearance and society constraints, i.e. no divorce in older age, no young lover for a woman. A previous version with Krung Srivilai, Aranya Namwong, Sahat Piempongsan was released in 1975.

Rhanee (Jarunee Sooksawad) comes back from studying overseas. Her father is dead (it is in fact a picture of Mitr Chaibancha wearing Insee Daeng mask!) since many years but she takes over his duties by punishing and killing bad ruffian heads as a justiciary. Police inspector (สารวัตร) Decha (Sorapong Chatree) is responsible to catch Insee Daeng. Insee Daeng wishes to catch the heads inside the ruffians circle including Suphon (น้าใหญ่) (Kanchit Kwanpracha) and Lak Apichat. Suphon already faced Insee Daeng 20 years ago. Insee Daeng is fast and difficult to catch (มันไหวเหมือนพายุ). Decha uses one of the ruffians head as a bait to catch Insee Daeng. Decha doesn't shoot Insee Daeng as he has plan to use him as a way to reduce bad influence (อิทธิพล). Another trial to catch Insee Daeng by Decha fails. Meanwhile Decha tries also to stop organised mafia but without full success. Rhanee is working for Krissana, owner of insurance company and close friend of police inspector Decha. She takes opportunity to dispatch messages to the police through Krissana. Decha puts police woman Mot to protect Krissana against the mafia but he finally gets kidnapped. A 3M baht ransom is requested. Despite ransom payment, Krissana is still not freed and is tied to a railway path. Insee Daeng threatens a ruffian to get Krissana location. Police is warned and Krissana is released following shootings with ruffians. Insee Daeng succeeds to escape once again despite Mot’s opposition. Ruffians receive a new task to explode a bridge over Chao Praya river. Decha succeeds to put a microphone inside Suphon's home so is aware of their plans. Decha succeeds to neutralize part of the ruffians but Insee Daeng is the one stopping the bombs and killing the leaders. The bridge is safe. The movie ends with a nationalist image on Thai flag. This movie อินทรีผยอง (1988) tries to relaunch Insee Daeng serie but it lacks a good film directing. There is high suspicion that part of the movie has been cut by Lepso. Sorapong plays the police inspector with magnum 357 and dark glasses similar to many other 1980s movies he played in.

This movie is based on a real story that happened in 1964. A huge crocodile terrorizes a local communauty and wildly eats people (อาละวาดกินคน). A team of three policemen arrives including a new police inspector (นายตำรวจ). The crocodile causes again a rampage during a temple fair. Pornthip, daughter of the subdistrict headman (กำนัน), is saved by the police inspector. Her younger sister, Pen, just comes back from Bangkok after long studies. They visit a famous medium (อาจารย์). He mentions that the crocodile is possessed by a spirit (เป็นจระเข้เจ้า). A crocodile hunter is recruited and also a crocodile expert (หมอจระเข้) to get rid of Ai Dang, the crocodile's nickname given by the villagers. The crocodile hunter, Khun Sak, is played by veteran actor Dam Datsakorn. The subdistrict headman, the village headman (ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน) and a local rich Chinese merchant help each other (รวมมือ) for a reward to catch the crocodile. Jealousy happens between village men and the policemen regarding the subdistrict headman's beautiful daughters. Ai Dang (ไอ้ด่าง) is an intelligent crocodile so it is difficult to catch it. The crocodile expert is killed. Porn gives food to the crocodile in order that Ai Dang is full (กินอิ่มแล้ว) and so avoid any danger for the police inspector and villagers. The police inspector tries to catch the crocodile and puts nets in places but to no avail. Tot, local villager, comes to get Pen's hand but the subdistrict headman refuses as Tot is a rich but lazy guy (เรียนไม่เรียนไม่สำคัญ ถ้ามีตังค์ซื้อตำแหน่ง). There is jaleousy between Porn and Pen over the police inspector. Pen becomes crazy (บ้าที่สุด) and wishes to win over her sister (ต้องชนะให้ได้). Police believes that crocodile Ai Dang is dead as no more rampage happens. Pen pushes Porn in the water when she is feeding Ai Dang. It fails. Ai Dang is hungry again and eats a cow. Police management wants results. Porn wishes to stop seeing the police inspector as she loves her younger sister so much despite she did bad (ทำชั่ว). The two sisters are reconciliated. Ai Dang starts to eat people again. By using bombs and helicopter the police inspector succeeds to chase it and have it killed. Two movies have been done regarding Ai Dang crocodile, one in 1988 and one in 2005. The movie has poor Fx as the crocodile and actors are rarely on same shot. This movie mixes romance with a crocodile story based on real facts.

Thai movie ทอง ภาค 3 / The lost idol (1988) lasts 89 minutes. Chalong Pukdeewichit is same director as previous sequels. A company of American soldiers is lost in Cambodia in 1975. They face Vietcong attack. They find a Brahma statue made of pure gold. The company carries it and their leader Oliver decides to hide it until the war is over. He betrays his own soldiers by shooting them but one, called Kirt (Erik Estrada), succeeds to flee despite being injured. The leader Oliver believes they are all dead. Meanwhile Red Khmer soldiers led by Sorapong Chatree are still chasing the US soldiers. They shoot Oliver and take for granted that he is dead. Kirt derives on a tree trunk and young Thai lady Lamyai helps him. He recovers and decides to stay with Lamyai. Meanwhile Oliver receives a promotion, a US medal and decides to go back to Thailand. He meets Catherine, his girlfriend, who is a US doctor working at the Thai Cambodian border. Colonel (ผู้พัน) Oliver asks Don (Likit Eakmongkol) to build a team in order to get back the statue from Cambodia. Part of this team are Krung Srivilai and Rith Luecha present in previous opus but with different roles. Christopher (Christoph Klüppel) is also part of the team. He was selected by Chalong Pukdeewichit thanks to his impressive bodybuilding. 1M baht is promised for each. Half now and half when the job is completed. Another group is following Oliver also. They threaten Katherine to get information. To force Kirt to join his team, Oliver kidnaps his daughter. Kirt has to accept to lead them through the Thai Cambodian border as it is full of mines. Meanwhile Katherine is going to Cambodian side to help poor people per her previous promise to Sorapong. It reminds the real story of Phanom Rung lintel stolen during Vietnam war and given back to Thailand in year 1988. Sayan Chantaraviboon and Apiradee Pawaputanon are part of the Red Khmer army. Sorapong's men are all killed during an embuscade and Katherine is captured. The Vietnamese soldiers wish to know why Oliver is back. Despite being tortured, Oliver refuses to speak. Kirt tells the Vietnamese about the gold statue (เทวดารูปทองคำ). The Vietnamese leader (นพพล โกมารชุน) plans to bring it back to Vietnam. One Cambodian man warns Sorapong that this statue belongs to Cambodian heritage and that it should stay here. They attack the truck convoy and the mercenaries free themselves. Sorapong asks mercenaries to join his team if they want to spare their life. If they survive, they will get freedom. The Khmer soldiers and the mercenaries attack the Vietnamese camp. Heavy fightings happen as Vietnamese soldiers have tanks. The Vietnamese leader succeeds to flee with the golden statue through an helicopter. Oliver sneaks in also. The statue finally falls in the lake and the helicopter crashes in the mountain. Chalong Pukdeewichit uses same recipe as previous sequels, i.e. famous Thai actors to be able to attract Thai audience and quite famous foreign actors to attract overseas audience.

Thai movie ฟ้าสั่งข้ามาเกิด was released in year 1988. The movie was never released in Thailand but a remaining sequence in Hmong language is lasting 1h07mn. So it is difficult to understand the detailed story. The image has a poor VCD copy quality. Sorapong Chatree is carrying wood on his back in the mountains. Sorapong is a former soldier. Five men dressed as rangers / militants arrive in the mountain village and are talking to the village headman as they are looking for Sorapong. As they cannot get proper information about Sorapong, they harass his wife (ศิรินันท์ โรจนธรรม) and his son. Sorapong arrives and beats the 5 men away. Their leader is Chat Mongkolchai. Among Chat’s team, there are also Rith Luecha and Pipop Pupinyo. This time, Reut brings more men in the village and they hurt the village header to make him talk. Sorapong kills a few men to help the villager header. Sorapong and his family are then chased by ruffians in the mountains. They arrive in another village but are captured by some villagers led by Somsak Chaisongkram. Sorapong has to accept a one to one fighting with spade as shown on the movie poster. He defeats two opponents. Later on, Sorapong storms the ruffians place to get back a statuette requested by Somsak Chaisongkram. Ruffians storm the village but Somsak Chaisongkram helps Sorapong's wife to flee. Per the deal, they let Sorapong and his family go. Sorapong defeats four men wearing black clothes. His wife is injured. Somsak Chaisongkram tries to stop Rith and his men but gets killed. Fleeing again, Sorapong and his family are arrested by other villagers. Luckily the leader is an old friend of Sorapong. Rith and his men storm the village again. Sorapong has to flee one more time. The remaining sequence ends up here. This movie reminds The Mountain Lion (เสือภูเขา) movie released in 1979.

A former soldier thinks about his daughter, who is very sick. 100 000 baht are needed to cure her. A mercenary job is offered to him for 500 000 baht. He has 4 days to do the job. On the field in Laos, he is leading a team of 6 soldiers. They save a young lady, whose husband has been killed. She brings trouble inside the team as soldiers are fighting each other to seduce the lady. As she is indeed a spy, the leader killed her. Two soldiers die in traps in the jungle. They rescue a young lady held hostage in a village. They learn that their real mission is to capture a drug lord. But they are overwhelmed by the drug lord's tough men. They get tortured until the lady succeeds to rescue them on time. During the fight the drug lord, the soldiers and the lady are killed. The former soldier survives to see his daughter cured. This movie is surfing on the Rambo II wave that started in 1985. The montage sequence is very bad. Abroad, this movie is also known as "Cannibal Mercenary".

Thai movie ชาติอำมหิต was released in year 1988 and lasts 1h33mn. It was released under VHS and VCD formats. Sorapong Chatree plays a role similar to a Thai Rambo. A lot of shooting and bloody fightings occur in this war movie. Trafficker Pao Porapak tries to break a weapon deal with Somchai but it fails and he gets killed. Thai soldier Pleung (Sorapong Chatree) is back to his home but Chat Mongkolchai and his men are waiting for him. They ask for a military code. Young Lady Dawee (Duangdeuan Jithaisong) and her brother Somchai are back to their village and face forest bandits (โจรป่า) attacking the village. Her father is Kanchit Kwanpracha. Dawee wishes that the villagers move to a new place but her father refuses. Chat and his men torture Pleung to get the code as he refuses to disclose it. At nighttime, a villager helps Pleung to flee. Chat's men chase Pleung but it is not easy as he is used to fight in the jungle. He kills many of them one by one. While fleeing, Pleung faces the forest bandits again and they chase him. Dawee is around at that time and a misunderstanding occurs as Pleung believes she is part of the forest bandits. They understand they have a common enemy (ศัตรูเดี๋ยวกัน). Chat and Rith Luecha, Somsak Chaisongkram meet in their main camp. Upset that Pleung succeed to flee thanks to Dawee, the forest bandits storm her village and kidnap her father. Aware, Pleung and Dawee prepare a plan. They put some explosive around the ruffians' camp and succeed to release the father and Somchai. Very heavy fightings and explosions occur. Pleung, as expected, is using a heavy machine gun. Most of protagonists die except Pleung and Davee.

Thai war movie 5 มนุษย์เหล็ก / Brave and cruel was released in year 1988 and lasts 1h21mn. It was released under VHS format and also VCD format by Lepso Studio company. Movie director is Payoong Payakul. This movie was also released internationally under the name “Hell Hunters” by Filmark production. It was then mixing sequences from the Thai movie and original sequences shot in Hong Kong. Hell Hunters VHS lasts 1h18mn. IFD and Filmark used to buy uncut / unrated negatives that included alternate versions / shots, nudity and similar topics because they used those movies for international markets where censorship was different. Hell Hunters include nudity scenes removed from Thai VHS. Captain (ผู้กอง) Leuat (Sorapong Chatree) is leading Thai soldiers including Pao Porapak. They are attacked and have to retreat. Five soldiers are left only and they don’t have radio to ask for help. Mapree (Thida Thidarat) brings her mother, who is injured following village attack. She meets doctor Phairoj Jaising and nurse Chutima Kawinla. They plan to go back to the village to take care of other injured villagers. On the way to the village, the five soldiers stop the van and share it to reach village Nong Prai. All villagers are dead. The five soldiers accept to chase the attackers guided by Mapree and to release the missing villagers. Three foreigners, met on the way, join them, i.e Kellyann Kelly, David Klaper, Bernard Hindenberg. These three foreigners are not famous actors. It reminds "Gold" / "ทอง" movies by movie director Chalong Pukdeewichit. They also always included foreign actors but they were famous actors and the movies budget was much higher than “5 มนุษย์เหล็ก". The attackers storm another village. The foreigners' Thai families have been killed. Leuat needs to go with his men to a ralliement point. Through the small van, they continue their journey towards the attackers. The ralliement point is also attacked by the ruffians. Thanks to Mapree, they find where the attackers are staying. Despite being a small number, they decide to attack the ruffians. Thanks to a radio found at the ralliement point, they ask for renfort. Attackers are aware of this as they spy the radio waves. Heavy fighting occurs. The Thai soldiers win but one of them dies to protect his country (รักษาแผนดิน).

A soldier is coming back to the slum where he lived when he was younger. He learnt that his mother and sister have died during a fire. His father told him that a local influencial man is responsible of the fire in order to drive out people from the slum. His father is seen as a drunk man so the police doesn't believe him. The father is finally killed by a gunman. Having lost faith in police and in justice of the rich towards the poor, the soldier decides to enquiry by him-self. A traitor policeman is helping the influencial man.

Nin is a young lady coming from a rich family. At night time, she transforms herself in a mysterious executioner (เพชฌฆาต) to kill some mafia leaders (คนเลว). A rose is left as a signature (ดอกกุหลาบสีชมพู). The policeman Chatri is satisfied that bad ruffians (ผู้ร้าย) are neutralized but he needs to catch the executioner according to the Thai law. Nai Pratum is head of a big mafia ring (วงใหญ่) dealing with weapons trade (อาวุธสงคราม). Nin disrupts his activities. Chatri meets Nin but ignores that she is the mysterious executioner. Chot is Nin's best friend but he wishes to become her husband. Nin refuses as she values more Chatri (ผมจะขอวันนั้น). Nin gives hints to Chatri to stop the ruffians. Nai Pratum recruits two hitmen to kill Chatri. They only succeed to injure him. Nai Pratum takes his order from a mysterious boss (เจ้านาย). Nai Pratum orders to kill another mafia leader and accuse Nin by leaving a rose on the premises. By kidnapping Chatri, Nai Pratum forces Nin to reveal her real identify in order to save Chatri. The mysterious leader is Chot, the unlucky lover. As expected, bad ruffians are defeated. It is a typical 1980s action movie that is only worth due to a few stars acting (Sorapong, Marsha and Manop). Marsha is really a precursor of Thai modern actress Yanin Vismistananda in martial arts fight.

Chat (Sorapong Chatree) and Thanong (Sombat Methanee) are mafia members (นักเลง) and friends. Thanong is a mafia head (เจ้าพ่อ). There are always internal fights with other mafia leaders. Nancy (Apiradee Pawaputanon) is Chat's girlfriend. Chat and Thanong are dressed like Chicago gangsters and are always smoking cigars. Thanong's younger brother, Rut, is a policeman but he is not fully aware about his brother’s activities. Pen (Pumpuang Duangchan) is a nurse. Thanong likes her a lot (นักรัก). Thanong wishes to change his job but he cannot leave his subordinates (ลูกน้อง). Thanong asks Pen for wedding. A shooting happens during the wedding but none is injured. Chat escapes to Shing, who is now a traitor and wishes to get rid of Thanong to take his position (บ้าอำนาจ). Thanong, through a Typical Rambo 2 scene with big guns, wishes to punish Shing. Thanong is captured by the police following a rampage at Shing’s home and sent to jail. Chat needs to send Nancy away so that he can handle the situation. She is finally killed. Chat wishes to revenge her. There is a famous scene featuring a killing rampage by Chat in a restaurant with guns hidden in each flower pot. Three years have passed. Thanong is released from prison but he doesn't want to return to underworld mafia. Chat was injured to the ankle so he cannot walk properly anymore. Chat is now a car glass washer. Without their boss, Thanong’s men are wrecked (กูรอมึง). Thanong is accused of Rut's sister murder. Rut is upset because his brother is a ruffian (เป็นพี่เป็นโจร) so his management doesn't trust him. Thanong’s men including Chat are disappointing that Thanong wants to be out of mafia business (วางมือจากวงการ) and doesn’t want to give a lesson to Shing. Shing wants Thanong to be back in business as partner but Thanong refuses. Shing’s men beat severely Chat and also threaten Rut to convince Thanong to change his mind. Chat succeeds to get proofs regarding Shing’s illegal activities. Those proofs are given to Rut. Before fleeing, Chat and Thanong wish to face Shing a last time for an ultimate revenge. It is the last movie where Sombat Methanee had the leading role. This Thai movie is based on the Hong Kong movie “A Better Tomorrow” (1986) shot by John Woo. The scenario is very similar. It involves strong action and some comedy. Sorapong Chatree plays same role as Chow Yun-Fat. The movie is entertaining but the realisation is not as good as the one from John Woo. The end of the movie is very weird. It stops abruptly when Thanong is going to face Shing. Thanong is expected to die. There is unfortunately a weird movie abrupt ending.

Tongchai (Rith Luecha) is the leader of a ruffians team terrorizing the local district. Villager Tasuk is killed because he was on government side regarding illegal logging concessions instead of being on ruffians’ side. Tasuk and his family are killed except one of his daughter, Asunee. The subdistrict headman (กำนัน) Sit and the village headman (ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน) are also on the ruffians’ side. Sing is Tasuk’s son. He just gets released from prison and visits the Thai Buddhist temple abbot first before going back to his village. The abbot gives him a sacred Buddha amulet (Lamphun Daeng - ลำพูนแดง). But Sing needs to use it wisely. He goes back to his village but nobody dares to tell him the truth about his parents death (ไม่กล้า) as they are afraid of the ruffians. Before Sing had another sacred amulet (Lamphun Dam - ลำพูนดำ) but it was taken away when he was sentenced to jail. The ruffians decide to get rid of him but it fails as bullets cannot hurt him (ยืงไม่เข้า) thanks to the sacred amulet (ของดี). The ruffians visit the abbot to know if a sacred amulet has been given to Sing. Usanee is under the district officer’s (นายอำเภอ) protection. But proofs are missing to accuse the killers. The ruffians want to get rid of Asunee before she can meet her brother. They kidnap her. Police officer (ผู้กอง) and the district officer ask Sing to wait for more proofs but he decides to act first. He steps inside Sit's house and releases Asunee following a deadly fight with Sit. Asunee is shot and seriously injured. Sing now knows the truth about his parents' death. Police is now looking after Sing. They succeed to escape to the Police as the Buddha amulet makes them invisible. His sister dies as she lost too much blood. Sing wishes to seek revenge. Ruffians continue to terrorize the local population. Chiwin, daughter of district officer, and Sing love each other. He visits her for her birthday party and fails to shoot Tongchai. Sing takes revenge over the village headman. Tongchai starts to be worried for his own security. The ruffians capture Chiwin. While trying to release Chiwin, Sing is captured by Sing's ruffians. The police believes Tongchai is involved so enters his camp. Sing, thanks to the sacred amulet, takes profit to flee. Sing steps inside Tongchai's home, releases Chiwin and kills Tongchai. As promised to Chiwin, Sing surrenders to the police. Movie Lamphun Daeng - ลำพูนแดง was shot in 1988. Previous sequel Lamphun Dam - ลำพูนดำ was shot in 1983. This movie features sacred amulets. Most Thai people believe that wearing around the neck a Buddha holy amulet protects them from anything.

Don (Krung Srivilai) is always looking for troubles with ruffians (นักเลง) and hitmen. Most of the time he is drunk. Pot (Duangdeuan Jithaisong) is now Phayak's girlfriend (แฟน) but Don loved her before. Don is now married to Phaen. Phayak (Sorapong Chatree) (มือปราบที่จับตายทุกคน) is local subdistrict headman. Ruffian So is looking for revenge (คิดบัญชี) against Phayak as this latter put him in jail before. Amnat (Chat Mongkolchai) arrives with 20 ruffians in a restaurant. Phayak tries to stop their rampage. Don helps as the situation was getting tense. Don finds Phaen (อี๊สาวเลว) in bed with a ruffian. Ruffian So kidnaps Pot. It is a trick to kill Phayak but it fails. Ruffians see Don as a weak drunkard. Don also punches ruffians showing them that they shall not insult him too much (แมงดา). Phayak's responsibility now extends to cover territory from So. Amnat's ruffians storm Phayak's home and kill everybody (ครอบครัว) including Pot despite strong opposition. Pot is finally only injured. Phaen was aware but didn't warn Don. Amnat proposes a duel to Phayak but it will be 7 against 3. Don is severely sick due to alcohol but Phaen takes care of him. Amnat prepares a trick again. Don comes to give a hand. Don kills Amnat in a final duel but gets severely injured. He finally recovers. Don and Phaen are back together. Lepso VCD คู่แค้นปืนเดือด (1988) is only 1h16mn long so the movie was certainly cut a lot and so making the movie directing a bit awkward. Sorapong is wearing a north confederation hat.

Village leader Cheui refuses to sell his house to ruffians. Chiaw is his son but he didn't go back home for years. Palat (Kanchit Kwanpracha), subdistrict headman Chat Mongkolchai, Ai Saen (Rith Luecha), head of local ruffians, are working together. Ai Saen sends his men to teach village leader Cheui a lesson (สังสอน) but they finally kill him and his elder daughter. The younger daughter, being a teacher, promises to revenge. Chiaw steals (ปล้น) a car containing money belonging to Ai Saen. Palat (Kanchit Kwanpracha) has to get it back. In Thai movies, the mafia boss is often called Sia / เสี่ย. Ai Saen (Rith Luecha) requests help from corrupted police. The subdistrict headman is the one who killed village leader Cheui. Pen asks Priaw to stop gambling. Chiaw, Priaw, Pen and the subdistrict headman's stepdaughter forms a team together. Phayu asks Police head to give them time as he trusts Chiaw. Chiaw decides to get information from the subdistrict headman's girlfriend. This one starts to be very friendly with him (part censored or cut from VCD). The subdistrict headman Chat comes back and Chiaw is captured. He succeeds to flee by kidnapping Palat's daughter. Ai Saen is upset (อย่าประมาท). As Ai Saen orders to shoot the car despite there is Palat's daughter inside, it causes Ai Saen and Palat to become enemies. Chiaw hits Palat to revenge his father but Phayu and the daughter convince him to let Police do its duty. Palat tells them that Ai Saen a is preparing to betray his country. The team storms the ruffians’ den. Pen is used as hostage (ตัวประกัน). The movie ends up with fierce fightings. Palat and Priaw die. Ai Saen is killed. The two actresses are วาสนา วรรณวงศ์ and มาริษา อุดมพร.

Ruffians' leader In (Chat Mongkolchai) has issues with Klong as he refuses to sell land to them. In is upset as Klong challenges his authority. Kaew promises to help Pat (ล้างแค้น). While wandering near a waterfall, three men belonging to In fail to kill them. Thanong, Kaew’s friend, tries to declare his love to Kaew. Amphon, being In's young brother, is seen by Pat in Chiang mai. Ruffians follow them also (ตามไป) but fail to catch them. Thanks to an indication from Thanong, Pat and her friends storm a house where three ruffians are resting. White arrives in Chiang Mai. They chase after In preparing a drug deal exchange involving Paen Pleumsachai. Police brought by White intervenes. Ruffians flee. Finally, they are killed or captured by Klong, White, Kaew and Pat. Kaew is injured. As expected, Klong is an undercover policeman! Such kind of action movies was reaching its end of popularity in 1988 being outperformed by thrilling action movies from Panna Rittikrai.

Meanwhile Thai soldiers led by Sorapong men are facing striking attacks from rebels. A helicopter is rescuing the survivors. Sorapong, injured in the leg, is left behind as Uat (Ron Rittichai) abandons him. Four years passed. Aklai is now renamed as Sutham and he is trying to rob an illegal casino. Former head of ruffians Somchai is now a politician and a mafia leader (เจ้าพ่อ). Uat is married with Soma (Jarunee Sooksawad). Uat is now a famous policeman called ไอ้มือดำ as he is wearing a black glove when shooting ruffians. He is very busy with his work and he has never time for his wife Soma. Sutham wishes to become rich so he accepts to be a hitman for Somchai but increases his price each time. Uat waits for proofs (หลักฐาน) to arrest Sutham. Sorapong succeeds to escape from Burma and stays in a Thai farmer family near the border. Having happiness there, he asks for lady Lampoei's hand. Meanwhile Sutham becomes the new mafia boss by getting rid of Somchai. Lampoei is pregnant. Sutham is having issues due to war between mafia bosses. Uat is also causing troubles to Sutham. A hitman injures Uat causing Soma to be very upset as this warning doesn’t hamper Uat to slow down. Sorapong brings Lampoei to Bangkok. As the pregnancy is getting worse, a cesarean operation (ผาตัด) is needed but Sorapong doesn't have enough money. Then he has to gamble his life to get money. Despite having lost, the casino owner Sutham lets him go and even gives him money as they know each other. Sorapong has now a moral debt with Sutham and is used by him as a hitman. A child is born but Lampoei dies. Fed up, Soma finally leaves home and she sympathizes with Sutham causing Uat to be very upset. Other mafia leaders kill Sutham’s mother and relatives during a birthday. He is left for dead. He then storms a diner gathering the mafia leaders to get revenge. Uat intervenes also. A final striking scene occurs between Sorapong, Uat and Sutham. Sorapong as hitman has to choose between shooting Uat or Sutham, between a man who abandoned him among Burmese soldiers or a man who betrayed his country...

This movie takes place in the South of Thailand. The Thai title means "Virgin market". Kaem is living with his wife (Phrae), son and father. Kaem is a fisherman. He also takes care of Pia as she has no father and mother anymore. Pia is now 18 years old and is flirting with Faeng. Pia and Faeng love each other but Kaem is over protective. Kaem is drinking and gambling. He has gambling debts and needs to give back 2000 Baht within two months so he has to interact with the gambling den owner. Phrae is a good wife that Kaem doesn't deserve due to his bad behavior. Kaem's fishing selling business is getting worst and worst. He believes he needs to get a faster engine to be able to go far and get more fishes in deep sea. Kaem learns that a sick Hong Kong businessman is looking for a young virgin woman as he believes it is the best cure. Kaem is so eager to get a new engine for his fishing boat that he agrees to sell Pia's virginity to the local gambling den owner for 15 000 Baht. He gets the money, buys the engine and has to handover Pia within three days. While trying the new engine, a storm is coming. Kaem doesn't listen to Phrae's advice to go back. The engine gets stuck and the boat gets caught in the storm. Hopefully they survive but the engine is dead. But Kaem still has his promise to fulfill. He deceits Pia by sending her to the gambling den owner by bringing a letter. She is forced to stay emprisonned during two days until the Chinese man arrives. On his arrival, she succeeds to escape from her jailers and jumps into the sea. She goes back to her home but the gambling owner is waiting there. Phrae protects her by beating him with a paddle. Everybody now knows Kaem's treacherousness. For her own good sake, Phae sends Pia to Faeng's home but this one rejects her believing she has slept with other man. The gambling den owner now wants his money back with interest. He threathen with gun Kaem, Phrae and Kaem's father in front of many villagers. He shots a few time inside the boat engine making it unusable. Kaem becomes crazy and cries endlessly about his engine. Faeng now understands the whole story and goes back to search for Pia. It is unfortunately too late... Pia has jumped to her death from a cliff. Wrecked lives due to poverty... Kriengkrai Unhanan is more used to play the good guys but deliver an outstanding performance in playing Kaem role. It is a remake of ตลาดพรหมจารี realized in 1973 with Piathip Kumwong.

Pim is the daughter of Plao (Apichat Halamjiak) and Rose (Thitima Sangkapitak). Parents never have time for their daughter so she was mainly raised by younger aunt Nitima (สรารัตน์ หรุ่มเรืองวงศ์). Parents are worried about face. A meeting occurs with Dam, uncle of Chayapon, (Likit Eakmongkol). Pim refuses to marry Chayapon as he is also issued from a sad family without love. Khiaw (Mai Charoeunpura) is hired as domestic helper by Rose. Khun Det, Chayapon's father, is currently abroad. Choo is his mistress (Apiradee Pawaputanon). Chayapon asks money to her to hire an illegal doctor to perform abortion. Rose finally is interested in pushing for a wedding as Khun Det (Phairoj Jaising) is rich. Na Feuang (Natanee Sitthisaman) helps for the abortion money as she doesn't agree with this wedding. The abortion doesn't happen. Khun Det is back and agrees to recognize the child. Det rents a house for Pim and Nitima to have them near him. Fed up with Rose, Plao takes Kiaw as mistress and they move out in a rented house. Khun Det goes to Nitima's office every day as he tries to seduce her. It makes Dam to be upset. Choo complains about Det (ความยุติธรรม - justice between man and woman) as he has many flirts, but she cannot satisfy her own desires. Dam refuses to be a proxy. Det offers a diamond ring to Nitima and gives bad rumors about Dam and Choo. Pim helps Det so Dam believes a romance has started between Nitima and Det so he gets drunk. Choo tries to take advantage of Dam being drunk. Det chases Choo and Dam, his half-brother, of his house. Rose tries to get suicide as Kiaw is pregnant, so she lost face. Nitima and Dam become friends again as misunderstanding is clarified. It is a sin (บาปกรรม) to abort so Rose authorises Kiaw to stay in their home. Pim's child is born. Det still wishes to seduce Nitima. Kiaw is feeling unwell as Plaew is split between his old (ทำตัวเป็นแม่พระ) and new wife. Det understands excession passion (กิเลส) towards Nitima was wrong and apologises. Feuang is hit by a car as she sees Choo with her husband (ทำประชด). The child born from Kiaw is infirmed. Happiness is back in all couples. Kiaw has even a new husband, i.e Chayapon!

Lak is a modern Thai lady. She is fianced since two years but her fiance (คู่หมั้น) is always busy with his work and has no time for her. Despite her friend advice, Lak refuses to go to police to file a claim (แจ้งความ) as she is afraid and feels shameful. Lak is back to Bangkok. Samon continues to chase her in Bangkok. Samon contacts Lak's fiance and tell him he and Lak love each other and that he and Lak are lovers. A discussion happens between Lak and her fiance. She cannot stand his kindness and gives back her fiancee ring. He leaves to Indonesia. As Samon is still chasing her, she goes to police to complain. Samon is arrested. Samon's lawyer asks for compromise outside the court to protect her name but she refuses. She claims she was not consenting (ไม่เต็มใจ). Samon's lawyer tries to convince the tribunal that it was not a rape but a common acceptance. Lak changes home and quits Bangkok. She doesn't care anymore about the trial. She is now pregnant. Shall she keep the future baby or not? She doesn't want to destroy the baby future as it is still a life so she decides to keep it. She doesn't want to be forced again by Salmon's acts so she keeps behaving same as before, i.e. doing intensive gym. The foetus dies. She is now freed. She loses the trial as Samon is only condemned to a 600 baht fine. She meets him in an hotel again. He challenges her again. At night time, he succeeds to enter in her house but gets severely beaten and dies when falling from the stairs. She is sent to prison but released promptly. Her former fiance is waiting for her. This Manop Udomdej's movie is related to women position in Thai society (difficulty to prove a rape, abortion difficulty for single woman). This movie received four gold statuette awards (รางวัลตุ๊กตาทอง) in 1987.

This movie is a remake of the movie "Dr Karn" shot in 1973 but with new actors. The previous version was directed by ChatriChalerm Yukol. Doctor Karn (หมอ) is a new doctor with strong principles. He wishes to treat all people. There is no priority for rich people as he is a public doctor (หมอรัฐบาล). Doctor Kan gets scolded by his management for this. Modern doctors have no wish to go to Isan poor region in northeast of Thailand. During his childhood his mother died while his father was bringing her to the nearest doctor by an ox cart. In rural areas, there are a few doctors so people have to travel far. He meets Areuthai (หฤทัย), his future wife, in Bangkok. Doctor Karn’s dream is to be a rural doctor (หมอบ้านนอก) to help and support poor people in Isan area. Karn and Areuthai know each other for 3 months only and decide to marry. Areuthai’s former boyfriend, Thomon, is disappointed and promises to wait until Karn stops loving her. They go to Isan region in a remote village using train and local bus through bumpy roads and dry fields. The local district officer (นายอำเภอ) welcomes them. He is quite rigid on standards. But his subordinates are playing cards with other colleagues and villagers! Areuthai discovers life on rural side with no fridge and no oven. Life is difficult (ลำบาก) for Areuthai as she comes from a rich family in Bangkok. There is no electricity after 9pm. First crisis with the district officer happens as he sent the nurses to work away but they still get paid with their governmental salary shared 50% / 50% with them and the district officer. The doctor Karn discovers that local villagers have to pay again for medicine despite it is already paid by government (ยาให้ใช้ไม่ใช่ให้ขาย). He starts to very popular so causing displeasure to the district officer. Doctor Karn is just and fair (ยุติธรรม). His wife helps as a nurse. This movie is a critic of corrupted officers (ราชการ) who prevent the country to develop properly. Doctor Karn doesn't do this job for money but to help poor villagers. Doctor Karn is working for the villagers’ health benefit but the district officer is working for his own benefit. He refuses to authorize doctor Karn to open a nighttime station (สถานีอนามัย) in case of emergency. Villagers shall go to the doctor's home! Areuthai wishes to be back to Bangkok as she misses her expensive beauty creams and her mum. Doctor Karn has issue with illegal medicine seller protected by the district officer (หมอจะเดือดร้อน). The district officer's wife tries to brain wash Areuthai about having her own house and being able to have good a school abroad for children. How can Areuthai get this with the small salary of a rural doctor? Areuthai argues that doctor Karn doesn't love her as he doesn't wish to improve their living. Doctor Karn is divided between pleasing his wife and helping poor villagers to get access to healthcare. Areuthai goes back to Bangkok to make a break. Doctor Karn stays as he cannot leave his patients. Areuthai's friend asks her to convince doctor Karn to open a clinic in Bangkok. Money is easy here. The former boyfriend, Thomon (โตมร), still wants to meet Areuthai. Areuthai accepts to meet him but for friendship only as she is married. They have a car accident as Thomon is upset that Areuthai still wishes to back to countryside. Doctor is diligent to do his duty (หมอทำหน้าที่). The district officer is having an illegal casino and protects it through his clique (ลูกน้อง). A fight erupts and one is seriously injured. Doctor Karn can do nothing as he lost too much blood already. Only way is to send him to hospital. Doctor Karn is now aware of the casino. He starts to know too much things. Doctor Karn befriends with a local policeman who indulged in alcohol as he can do nothing to stop the district officer. One evening the doctor’s house is shot a few times as a threatening warning. Aware of the accident through a telegram, doctor Karn goes back to Bangkok and finds that Areuthai has lost memory due to accident. Thomon (ลูกเศรษฐี) doesn't want Areuthai to be back with doctor Karn so he organizes his mutation abroad. The doctor headmaster doesn’t understand obstinate doctor Karn regarding rural people (คนบ้านนอกโง่หลอกง่าย). He is forced to accept the post or be dismissed. The district officer is under corruption investigation (ถูกย้าย) and he believes doctor Karn denounced him to Bangkok authorities. Finally doctor Karn and Areuthai will go abroad. Doctor Karn needs to go back to countryside a last time to get back his belongings. His policeman friend wants him to help regarding unwanted pregnancy abortion but he cannot do as it is against law. If policemen don't respect law who will respect the law? He unfortunately doesn't come back as he is shot dead as a revenge of the district officer. Doctor Karn was a good man (เขาเป็นคนดี). This story was also adapted 2 times for television in 1980 and 2010.

Thai movie หวานมันส์ฉันคือเธอ ตอนที่ยังเหลือ (ภาค 2) was released in year 1988 and lasts 1h49mn. This movie is follow up of part 1 released in year 1987. A few songs are featured in the movie. Nap (Jintara Sookkapat) and Ton (Santisuk Promsiri) are close friends since childhood and are now studying in university. Ton’s father is worried that his son doesn't behave as a 'man' (ผู้ชายเต็มตัว) and check with his teacher (อาจารย์)(Kriengkrai Unhanan). Ton's parents move to Bangkok but Ton stays behind to finish his studies. Ton moves to a room (ห้องพัก). Aunt (Sulaleewan Suwanthat) is the owner and she is fed up to clean sheets as the tenants keep bringing ladies. Ang (Kiet Kijcharouen) is concerned that Ton is gay so he asks another neighbour to check. Nap is upset with Ton as she believes he brings ladies to sleep in his room. Nap has to do Thai military training. So her friends ask her to reconsider if Ton really misbehaves or not. The misunderstanding is clarified but Nap needs to excuse herself after having slapped Ton. The neighbour tricks him again by sending a sexy lady to Ton's room. Nap arrives at same time and misunderstands Ton again. Ton gets slapped again. The sexy lady also steals Ton’s money (ไม่มีเจตนา). This time, Nap doesn't believe Ton (เศร้า). Ton stays home as he has no more money. The neighbour finds a job for them but it is a nightclub performance activity. His father visits him and pushes him to visit prostitutes. Nap's friend, Samon, tries to seduce him. It is exams time. Nap still doesn't forgive Ton. Nap's father complains to the head of school as Ton keeps trying to contact his daughter. Ton explains the whole story to the head of school, apologizes for his behavior and announces quitting the school. Exams shall happen soon (อีกสามวันจะสอบ). Ton is now working as musician in a hill tribe show for foreign tourists. Following plea from Nap about their relation and his future, Ton finally goes back to school to pass his exams as there is no future without diploma.
