Wat HK Dhammaram is located in Yuen Long District. In Hong Kong, Thai people can celebrate mainly on Sundays due to work. There are five main big Thai Buddhist temples in Hong Kong, three in Yuen Long districts, one in Sai Kung and one near Tai Wo.
Wat HK Tammaram / Wat HK Dhammaram (วัดฮ่องกงธัมมาราม) is a Thai Theravada
Buddhist Monastery. It is located in Shui Tsiu San Tsuen area in Yuen Long district.

WWat HK Dhammaram features a chapel or "BOT" (โบสถ์).
It is the finest building where monks are assembled for religious rites
(สังฆกรรม) such as morning and evening prayers, ordination.
It is the most sacred part of the temple.
Wat HK Dhammaram features a beautiful altar, where many Buddha statues are displayed.
Visitors can pay their respects to Buddha there.
Wat HK Dhammaram also features a Brahma statue enshrined in a small Thai house.
Events such as Visakabucha day (วันวิสาขบูชา) in Hong Kong are celebrated at this Thai temple in Yuen Long. Other events such as Songkran or Robes offering ceremony are also performed there.
Wat HK Dhammaramm contains a few small houses for monks.
The "KUTI" (กุฎิ) are the
houses for monks in Thai Buddhist temples.
Wat HK Dhammaram is still considered as a Thai new temple by the Thai community.
Inside the chapel, there is a big Buddha statue flanked by some Thai monks
representations.
Wat HK Dhammaram is the only Thai Buddhist temple in Hong Kong to look like
same as a real Buddhist temple in Thailand.
Many Thai and Hong Kong local people come to Wat HK Dhammaram to pay respect to
Buddha and also Brahma.
Today is a special day. It is the 100 Days Ceremony for the Death of the Revered Thai King Rama IX
celebrated in Wat HK Dhammaram.
Thai ladies are preparing food to be offered to Thai monks. Many Thai people coming to
this ceremony also bring dishes prepared at home.
This Thai lady has prepared a delicious spicy minced pork salad
("LAAP MOO" - ลาบหมู).
Thai people are lining in order to offer food to Thai monks.
This is the morning alms procession.
Thai people put food offerings such as rice, fruits, curry bags
in monk's bowl.
As the bowl is full swiftly, there is always an assistant emptying
it so that other faithfuls can continue to do food offerings.
Today nine monks are present for the 100 Days Ceremony for the Death
of the Revered Thai King Rama IX celebrated in Wat HK Dhammaram.
Thai monks are now sitting in the main chapel. Food has been gathered
and monks take a small portion of each dish.
Each dish is passed from one monk to another monk.
Then the leftover dishes are back to the kitchen.
Thai people are then sharing the delicious food. Nothing is thrown away
as spare food is brought home.
Free delicious Thai noodle soup is also offered. It is a big success!
Wat HK Dhammaram was consecrated in year 2016.
A big ceremony was organized.
The ceremony ends up with prayers happening inside the main chapel.
The Thai consul has arrived.
The Thai consul can often be seen during Thai Buddhist festivals organized
in local Thai temples in Hong Kong.
The Thai consul is also joining any official events related to the Thai King
and Thai Queen.
