The Seven Sisters Festival is a traditional Chinese festival. Young women were supposed to pray to the deities for embroidery skills and a good husband.
Tsat Shing Kung Temple is located at 533 Sai Sha road in Ma On Shan area.
It is one of the few temples in Hong Kong celebrating Seven Sisters Festival.
Seven Sisters Festival is no longer a very popular festival so
the temple was still quite empty on that day.
A young couple is burning papers as offering to deities for good luck in love or
maybe to get help in order to start a family.
Teddy bear offering to the deities? Nobody to answer to this question...
The entrance of Tsat Shing Kung Temple is very beautiful. The temple has
been renovated recently. Chinese name is 七聖古廟.
It is also called Chat Shing Temple, so located in Kwun Hang, Shap Sze Heung.
Other temples for Seven Sisters festival are Pak Wan in Peng Chau.
The Seven Sisters deities, who help young women to improve their needlecraft.
Chat Shing Temple is worth a visit even the visit doesn't happen during
Seven Sisters Festival.
Many incense sticks are offered and burnt on this auspicious day
in Chat Shing Temple.
A few beautiful old houses can still be found in villages around Kwun Hang,
Shap Sze Heung. Sometimes owners can be very unfriendly even if taking the pictures from outside
their private area.
Young girls and couples make offerings of flowers, food and paper offerings.
Many offerings are placed in front of the seven deities, including many candies.
The Seven Sisters are displayed through seven small statues
in Chat Shing Temple.
On the Seven Sisters Festival, young ladies or young couples come to make
offerings in Chat Shing Temple.
In the past, having good embroidery skills, was a must for young ladies.
Embroidery works are placed in front of each statue.
Many offerings are placed in front of the seven deities, including candies, fruits
and flowers.

The famous Lovers' Rock is located on Bowen Road, which is also a nice place for scenery.
The rock is said to have the power of giving happy marriages who worshipped it.

Lovers' Rock looks like a stone pen sticking out of a stone base. This magical rock is said to have
granted happy marriages to pious worshippers. In certain days, couples who want a happy marriage come
to the Lovers' Rock to burn joss sticks and candles in sincere worship.
During Seven Sisters festival, the Lovers' Rock gets more visits.
The rock is said to have the power of giving happy marriages who worshipped it.
