The Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade took place along the Wan Chai harbour-front. It is now taking place in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The parade features performers from around the globe. This nighttime spectacle is composed of
international and Chinese elements featuring illuminated floats, dragon and lion dancers,
colourfully costumed performers, marching bands.
Each year, hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong citizens braved coldness on the streets
to enjoy the elaborate floats and performances of a night parade, celebrating the traditional Chinese New Year.
People are always enthusiastic to view the parade, which features a blend of traditional Chinese and
international cultural performances.
