NATIONAL LABOUR DAY

The first day of May is a public holiday commemorating the workers. It is the National Labour day / วันแรงงานแห่งชาติ.

Thai National Labour day is celebrated in Carpenter Road Park in Kowloon City.

Free Thai sweets, food and drinks are offered.

A parade celebrating the Thai National Labour day is happening and is going around Kowloon City's main streets.

Some Thai migrants associations defending the rights of Thai workers are also joining.

Many local Thai people wear Thai traditional clothes on this public holiday commemorating the workers.

Among those Thai associations, there are F.O.T (Friends of Thai in Hong Kong) and the Thai Regional Alliance.

The Thai consul in Hong Kong is also giving a speech. The Labour Section of Royal Thai Consulate-General in Hong Kong is located in Sheung Wan.

A few serious speeches from the officials are taking place before the fun part can start.
