Today is an important day. It is subdistrict headman ("NAYOK TAMBON" - นายกตำบล) birthday celebration (วันเกิด).

The "NAYOK TAMBON" title is also know as "KAMNAN (กำนัน). The subdistrict headman is responsible administratively of a few villages (8 to 10). The Thailand local administration network is called OH BO TO (อบต - องค์การบริหารส่วนตำบล ).

Every subdistrict headman makes a similar birthday celebration in his administrative territory.

The subdistrict headman invites his electors every year. It is a way to thank people who voted for him and to keep a good popularity.

Local people come to help for this Birthday celebration. All people participate. Tables are coming from the Buddhist temple. Land location is from the Buddhist temple. Local shops in market and restaurants help to provide some food and ingredient. Local people help to prepare the food.

The singers fee might even be paid by local companies. If local administration has helped to improve and to build roads, local entreprises may help by contributing to the fair.

It is a big celebration. Many singers and dancers are performing on the stage.

Local Central plains music is expected such as Luk Thung or Luk Krung music. Gorgeous young dancers also perform.
