Catholic churches can be seen in Bangkok and also in some provinces of Thailand.

Some hill tribes have been evangelised by Catholic priests. But as Thai government wants to assimilate hill tribes into Thai society in order to solve problems (slash-and-burn cultures, drugs proliferation...), Buddhism is now taught to them.

Some Vietnamese refugees in the Northeast of Thailand are also catholic.
