An inauguration ceremony called "FANG LUUK NIMIT" (ฝังลูกนิมิต) is done to consecrate a temple. Some sacred marker spheres "LUUK NIMIT" (ลูกนิมิต) need to be buried in the temple compound.
Many volunteers are participating during the temple consecration fair.
Those volunteers prepare the flowers to honour Buddha teachings.
Donations such as monk robes, flowers are reused for the next visitors.
During the inauguration ceremony, a feast happens in the Buddhist temple
and lasts one week.
Police is here to assure security. Parking is often free for cars but
motorbikes needs to go to specific parkings including a watchman to be paid
20 Baht.
Motorbikes can be stolen easily so it is safer to keep them in specific parkings including watchman.
The wonderful lighting for Wat Don Kanak annual fair has
cost 700 000 Baht.
Fairy lighting is made of bulbs on the main chapel and many
neon lights with various shapes.
The Buddha statue in Wat Don Kanak's main chapel is connected
with many white threads.
Such white sacred threads (สายสิญจน์) are supposed to propagate
the monks' blessings to the community.
Famous monks pictures are displayed as a reference to sacred
Buddhism.

Stalls have to rent the piece of land where they establish their
business during the festival.

Various altars can be seen around the main chapel where joss sticks and
candles are lit.
Up to 1.3 million baht are given a day as donation.
Police is here to monitor the money donations. The objective
is to avoid embezzlement and robbers.
At night time, the numerous lightings on the building give a fairy
and unreal ambiance.
Thai people flock during the whole evening and night to make donations
to the Buddhist temple.
Visitors to the main chapel shall remove their shoes and walk barefoot
inside.
The main chapel ("UBOSOT" - อุโบสถ) is the finest
building where monks are assembled for religious rites such as morning and evening prayers,
ordination.
On both sides of the main chapel's gate, some monks are sitting.
The are holding a pot (โพธ์เงิน) where visitors
can deposit money donations.
Following their donation, visitors can receive small gifts
such as booklet, Buddha amulet and so on...
